If you think about it. It’s amazing that the Achilles heel of going to Treehouse, is children. Let that sink in.
Anyone in here make it to the Boston location fairly regularly? They still have bottles of Spumoni Truth available and was trying to see if someone could grab me a bottle and ship - could purchase you a 4 pack of your choice for your troubles and obviously I'll send a label.
Anyone try BA Catharsis? I wasn’t willing to buy a 4 pack it based on one item in the description: “a hint of clove”. That might be appealing in a Hefe, but what is it like in a robust porter?
It’s a hint if it’s there at all. I’m a fan of it, and wouldn’t really like a beer dripping in clove.
Anyone tried moment of clarity of barrell blend or the tangier pils? Curious about those 2 considering grabbing them if they’re still around when I go
Barrel Blend Moment of Clarity, to me, tastes pretty much like how it is described on the can. If you find that description appealing, I think you’ll like it. Definitely sweet, but a nice dessert-like sipper. I enjoyed it.
MoC barrel is prob my favorite stout I’ve had from them in recent times. Like virtually every stout they make it’s very sweet, but for me it being maple makes that a little more palateable. And it has a nice hint of barrel
I loved the Moment of Clarity Barrel Blend & would also recommend it. Not had the Tangier, but am curious about this as I have not heard of that hop before.
New double barrel barleywine. 27 months in Buffalo Trace, then aged in Weller barrels. ffffffuuuuuuuuu
I love mosaic. Alter ego is one of my favorite beers. I also love maple syrup. I have it in my oatmeal nearly every morning. Convince me why I shouldn’t get wafflebanger. Trying to keep my haul to a single case and it’s tough to narrow it down. Julius has also consistently been my favorite treehouse beer, but I’ve never pulled the trigger on king j cans. I had it in draft once and it didn’t quite do it for me. I should give it another try. I tend to lean more heavily toward single ipas, and I’ve always grabbed haze if I’m going to get a double.
Wafflebanger - only one way to find out, but it sounds like it’s totally in your Q Zone. King J - taste is subjective but IMO it’s one of the best double IPA’s Tree House makes. So, sure I would go for it again.
Am I crazy or did Single Shot use to be a milk stout? It mentions nothing of lactose on the cans or in the description, but it’s still listed as a milk stout on the website.
was 100% a "sweet milk stout" as the can label used to say right on the front. The Tree House Releases IG still calls it a milk stout. https://www.instagram.com/p/DWG8gl6gfET/ Super odd to not have that on the label, perhaps a serious legal liability too. I fired them off an email, either for clarity on no more lactose, or to let them know they fucked up.
When you go on the website to place an order it does say milk stout under where it lists the style of the beer
True, but the state law is that it has to be on the product. Major allergen, like fish, eggs, peanuts, etc.
