Yeah, they have the food trucks there now on the weekend only (Thurs-Sun). I think this coincided with when they started up their pizza slice shop.

Merely an attempt to hide the chaos that my 3.5 year old inflicted on our living room. Created a mind bending illusion haha.

Got a piece of pizza at Charlton today. As a pizza addict, I can say that the slice I was given, and the others that I saw, are no where near the quality of Deerfield. Not sure what the deal is, but for $4 it should be better. I would have preferred a food truck being on-site. If they’re not careful, Charlton is going to become a pass for a lot of people. The other locations have a lot to offer

Crumble is actually pretty good. Their adjunct game is just better than everyone else because they don’t go over the top.

Been to all except for Saratoga multiple times. Including from the original spots on. And don’t get me wrong, the cape spot is fucking awesome. It’s hard to recreate that. But, it’s smaller, more limited options and the traffic and parking certainly dissuade people from going. It’s literally a once a year at most for the average consumer. Unless they chose to vacation on the cape. So knocking this one out first.

To me, when the indoor and outdoor are both an option, I still think Charlton is unbeatable. There also always somewhere to get tucked away that isn’t too loud. There’s a feeling, going back to the old locations, that it’s managed to hold onto. It still gives me that slight feeling of the hunt from the past. That was an unbelievable time. Even if it was a pain in the ass. It was so much fun taking trips with friends.

Deerfield outdoor is nice in the fall. But the inside feels like the offices I walked through for lunch in the 90’s and 2000’s. Feels like I’m at work. Pizza is very good. But, it’s a brewery taproom. The pizza won’t make it for me.

Tewksbury in all honesty, is just too loud in the main hall. And I’ve spent my life listening to hundreds of bands at hundreds of shows from Cro Mags to Blood for Blood. It’s still loud af to me. I do like the outdoor space. But if you stripped the nice gold course view out, it’s actually not that much outdoor space. It feels like it is give the open view. Not saying I don’t like it at all. As I do still enjoy it and like a lot of the staff.

I’m eliminating Woodstock from this discussion as it’s a completely different concept and entity in many ways. It inherently should be more beautiful given it’s a farm for cider. But it’s limited on beer and let’s be honest. 1 and 3 people who go to TH probably don’t even know it exists. Many wouldn’t care.

Boston is fine if you live in the city. And cheers isn’t open yet.

Charlton to me, is unequivocally the best. And
It will always be that way in my heart.

There's something about going to Charlton as the original (of this generation of locations!) that tremendously appeals to me. "The Mecca" of it holds a lot of weight in terms of the experience in my view.

Deerfield really didn't do much for me other than be convenient on the way to/from VT.

As long as you go to Sandwich in the evening in the summer (defined for me as when Cape schools are out / beach is open) or go ever so slightly offseason (first 1/2 to 2/3 of June or September after Labor Day), I find the only argument against it being the best location is that the choices are limited to the point of actually having been there when there was nothing my wife or I wanted (because she doesn't drink DIPAs and I'm not gonna drive after one). Beyond that fairly important "but" and the advice on timing your visit, it's by far the best location. It's just amazingly picturesque. the experience of drinking there on the top deck or in the beer garden is unbeatable.

Mochachrome might be my favorite cold brew by them now. So good. Wish I bought 2 4-packs of it instead of one and a Big Star (which is also good)

Yeah, it’s wild to see kegs of beer to go have sporadically been available recently.
Imagine explaining this and that you could leave with 1000 cans, to people 12 years ago

Can’t wait to put my tap lines in the basement. Long term goals. A keg of Haze would be quite the flex.

Charlton is awesome, especially compared to when I stopped by TH very early on.
But Charlton is something like 4 hrs for me whereas Saratoga is only 2 hrs, and it does have (most of?) the same great beers.
Saratoga is much smaller, but is new and shiny.
I think the food is terrible - a real turn-off for my wife, also the lack of wine
    Though she likes BA stouts

Will all these Haze beers released for Haze week be available at Saratoga too. Maybe take an extra day to arrive?
