I think you’re right about the ABV.
It used to be IPAs were more bitter while pale ales were more malt forward. With the advent of hazy IPAs, bitterness is no longer the criteria. With hazy IPAs, the hops still probably dominate versus malt dominates for pale ales…
But for the Treehouse hazy pale ale I had yesterday, it was really a toned down hazy IPA.

Tree House calls it an American Pale Ale, fwiw.

I passed on the Threads of Time II release last year because of the high ABV + 750ml format, but was able to have a 5 oz pour on draft at Charlton. I don't think I will pick up any of the Truth bottles, but I'm hoping they will have a few on draft later. (I also had 5 oz pours of Double-Double Flip and Moment of Mocha last year also, I had them from bottle purchases earlier but was glad to revisit.)

I had Truth, over the course of a few days. It’s hot at 17.1% but mellowed a bit when I gave it some time. Very consistent flavor wise. Have had Truth enough over the years to know - yeah, thats Truth.

Whelp, looks like we're losing the battle when it comes to Truth Week. Doubt TH is gonna feel any pressure to abandon those $60 750's when the majority of variants have already sold out and Double Barrel only lasted one day...

They may have made less this year, especially if they have started to use their own barrels to age.

True. The higher ABV this year probably means lower yields too, right?

We shot over to Tewksbury today for some coffee cans. Lady grabbed the Truth Vanilla pour. It truly is fucking amazing.

But holy fuck was that place a god damn kids pig stiy around 5:30. She looked at me and just asked, how can any self respecting parents leave open bags of pretzels, snacks and pizza under the table and just leave.

    The Vanilla Truth thought, excellent.

I haven’t been to TH in a couple years- anyone know if they let you buy single cans at the brewery? I never experienced this but thought I saw someone mention it once. I always stock up but there’s like 60 different cans I want to try haha. Thanks.

Tree House only does 4 packs & some 2 packs these days. They do have a few mixed "case" options. Check out the Tree House website (link in post #1 in this thread), then the various "purchase to go" pages.

I’m back to going every couple weeks and doing small orders to try the more interesting IPAs that come out:

-Prestige Cuvee: this is fucking magnificent. King J but as good a batch you’ve ever had.

-Queens of the Stone Haze: feel like this will be better in a week or two but even as is I’m digging it a lot. Anything in the Queen Machine series tends to be really good and this is no exception. Much, much better than Haze Against the Machine was.

-Open Question: liked every can of this more than the last. You really can’t be more up my alley than Citra Motueka Nelson as the hop bill and it didn’t disappoint.

-Milky JJJ: super disappointing. Not actually bad, just completely average in every way (which I guess makes it pretty bad for TH). Feel like this is the kind of beer ppl rag on them for and say Fidens etc are better now, which I generally disagree with.

-Marcus Aurelius - I went back for seconds on this and I still can’t tell if I love it or hate it. The cans I’ve had in the right mood for it have slapped, but overall it’s just a little hot for me. Too bad this seems to have sold like shit because I think a second attempt at this could be fire

I just bought a 12 pack of Moosehead because of Nate (TH YouTube channel).

    I think I have problems.

Came to add more praise for Cuvee Prestige, fantastic representation of a Citra hazy. Queen of the Stone Haze was also superb for me. Year of the horse is another gem, with the mouthfeel being the star of the show.

Was also able to try the Macademia Cocoa Coconut Truth variant; flavor profile was decadent, but 5oz was more than enough. The body on it became a bit of a chore on the last oz or 2.
