I've had no problem with their cans of milk stouts being 90% as good as new for a looooong time, like a year+ in some cases.

The bottles a bit more hit or miss. I had a huge stash of double shots that I assumed I'd lose to the coffee turning to green pepper effect, but the ones that haven't held up have been oxidized moreso than anything else.

I’ve got another stout related question.

I know this has been discussed before…Does anyone know (about) how much caffeine is in quad shot extra dark?

Speaking of Double Shot, when was the last time straight up, no variant, Double Shot was released? That one's a pretty big whale for me

Depends on the adjunct. Maple Syrup tends to turn into a generic sweetness after 8 months or so. I had about a year old MOC and it was filled with chunks. Probably a bad can, but i also have never aged a milk stout other than that one, so I can’t say

Depends which "Double Shot" you're talking about. Seems like the recipe changes every release these days.

Last time I saw "regular" DS was maybe a year or so ago? But that was the beefed up 8-9% ABV recipe. OG Double Shot came in around 7.5% and hasn't been seen in ages. Probably never see it again.

Deerfield has a beautiful taproom, interesting corporate office location. Fairly easy system to get your orders out. Bonus is the availability of 4 packs of beer once you walk in.... although I wish they would switch to single cans as well so you can try more beer if you're not familiar.

KJ i haven't had it in few years but it's quite scrumptious this time around.

Perfect storm is pretty incredible. First time having it.

Haze is solid, haven't had it in a year or so.

Nomad is pretty incredible. I really recommend getting it even if you're not a fan of dark lagers.

Zatec Harvest is super crispy and Czech style lager. Pretty interesting story on the can as well.

Wall of sound is pretty delicious as well. Wish I picked up a 4 pack.

Super cachet is good, but I would take WoS or Perfect Storm over it.

I also got space & time both variants but haven't had them yet.

Didn’t get a ton of barrel from that one tbh, just super sweet fudge and coconut. Delicious though; I’ll grab another one next time I go up to get a second taste

Yeah I’m pretty happy to see nascent back, I have one left but will definitely grab another.

    their current menu is insane

I am a little surprised that TH didn't give this batch of Nascent Truth a new name. As a place that feeds and grows off of novelty.... That being said, I quite enjoyed the batch 1 bottle I had; however, I am still waiting for a 18 dollar 12 oz bottle to truly wow me. The closest contender was Tree of Hope. I have not had a bad waxed bottle from Tree House, but the price point is tough to swallow.

From the description, it seems like the same batch.

Has anyone tried the premixed canned booze? I’m going to grab a pack of the Moscow mule next time I’m up. They’re gonna need to rename that, blyat!!!

tried the vodka soda and they were pretty bad tbh, tasted like tequila for some reason. not very enjoyable. my girlfriend loves vodka sodas and she hated those.

just cracked Moment of Truth and it's very good. straight barrel and super sweet maple syrup. really sucks that I'm stuffy right now though, it's hard to get a good gauge on the smell/taste.

Just cracked mine as well and came here to say I’m pretty impressed. I’ve changed my mind on their barrel aged stouts. I can only think that the ones I had a year ago were just not on the same level and are just better now from trial and error

also, i can tell this was aged in the barrel with the syrup as the maple flavor isn’t as pronounced as in fresh stouts. Do not age this beer

I dont know, I think blank, brownie, and vanilla bean Tree of truth were pretty great and on par with this years ba releases

Persist is still one of my favorite blended stouts, wasn’t the 500ml like 12-13$?

I never got a chance to try the first 3 so it’s probably just me. Persist and Steadfast we’re pretty forgettable for me

Just had Space & Time. It's bit too sweet and sticky to be a RIS. Didn't have that edge and bitterness that usually comes with RIS. A lot of booze after it warmed up.

This has been the problem with every TH stout for a while now. It's frustrating.

Just chocolate syrup with different labels.
