Tree House Brewing (2022)

TIPAs are scary - but they can be done well. Root+Branch's Darkness at Noon is a TIPA and one of the best hazies I've ever been able to try.

 

Headed to TH Charlton in about 10 days. Did a brief "order" to see what the damage will be...we're definitely going over $300.
I will definitely hit this thread again next Friday to get the top recs!

 

Definitely not available at any beer kiosk, which was primarily Bud Light, Sam Adams, Corona, Harpoon UFO, and Cisco.

The only place I saw Julius (and Congress St) available was at the Trophy Club on 14 (I know because I had a ticket). That said, if you don't have access to the Club you could always try and befriend someone on the large patio there and sweet talk them into getting you Julius. If I had a dollar for every fan that asked me where to get Julius (I was double fisting on the walk from 14 to 17) I'd have paid for my entire day.

 

I think most likely he’s made a version of it or the actual thing without us even knowing it out of the 1,000 stouts they’ve pumped out the last few years.

 

I agree that Nate has likely made a version of it but not the actual. He has too much integrity to pull that move.

 

Moment of Truth, anyone?

On a serious note, Vanilla Bean Tree of Life is delicious. I usually enjoy a BW when I’m burned out of lagers, pilsners and ipa’s. It’s only on occasion, but they’re such an enjoyable escape.

 

Moment of Truth was ridiculously good.

as much as I like catching up on these new batches of their BA series, I wanna see more new BA barrels and adjuncts. they never really disclose their base stouts for most right? throw in persist or moment of clarity into some barrels

This is shaping up to be quite the expensive trip coming up. Part of me misses having much fewer options. Remember the old order cards we used to fill out in line? This is what it would be like today:

 

There was a brief moment before the pandemic where they were aggressively ramping up variety and still doing cards. I remember seeing some CVS receipt-looking monstrosities stitched together and then scanned in and cut to size. Good times...

 

Did they mention how many bottles of VB Tree of Truth they filled?

the triple is pretty good, just a slightly amped up DIPA. nothing like the triples I’ve had from R+B or even OH, just doesn’t have that incredibly silky, smooth mouth feel. still tasty tho.

unfortunately I was too lazy to immediately move my cans to the fridge so it’s just slightly warm
