This thread is wild. There are pages of discussion over the years gushing over how much better TH draft is than cans. I personally agree. They pull some magic on tap to achieve a thicker, fuller, creamier, and silkier mouthfeel. Carbonation even seems slightly more muted which hints that there might be a touch of nitrogen in there.

The stouts notably have a particularly velvety feel that is lost in cans, especially their big lactose stouts. There have been a few stouts over the years with marshmallow like Simple Life, and the marshmallow is much much more pronounced in the tap version of the beer. Feels like drinking liquified marshmallows. And then you have the draft-only marshmallow beers which are out of this world. No canned comparison but the mouthfeel on those is like drinking your cat. Or a chinchilla. If there's a marshmallow variant on tap when I make the trip, that's my draft pour. Always.

My recent comparison point was Yellow which actually slightly underperformed my expectations out of the can vs when I had it on draft a few days prior (presumably same batch) and it was a much richer experience. The pineapple still wasn't quite there, but the smoothie consistency helped out my overall impression.

I would grab at least one beer on draft and make the comparison yourself. You can do something standard to compare to cans, but I would recommend something you can't get in cans.

The mug I was shown, looked like a half liter dimple mug, not the same one they sell / sold at the merch area. I don’t know, maybe it was incorrect info. It definitely appears like it’s the same goblet as always, which is definitely a great glass. I’ve broken two.

According to the website, if you order the glass+draft and get it at the Classics bar, you can get a Tubinger tankard. Sounds like that's what you have!

Nice work! I don’t have one, but I may have to pick one up.

the earth day glass is another great glass that allows for a full 16oz pour plus foam.

I didn't know this. Might have to do that next time. I'm lacking a proper lager glass

OG Double Shot has returned. 8.2% abv which is a nice step back from all the "variants" that were in the high 8's and 9's

You should be fine. The stouts have been lasting for several weeks, if not, more. The heat wave is definitely good for those of us who seek stouts all year round

Still waiting for OOG Double Shot at 7.5% priced like a regular beer and not $8/can.

We went to Deerfield at the opening today. No line, great large cheap pizza served super fast, plenty of room to sit anywhere inside or outside. The only bummer was that they were understaffed, so plastic cups instead of glass. Hopefully, we'll be luckier next time.

Poured a pint of VB Truth. It’s definitely a well made vanilla bean barrel aged stout, but I prefer regular truth.

BA space and time on tap is delicious. Hasn’t been released in bottles or cans (to my knowledge)

It has been released in bottles - BA Vanilla Space & Time in 750s. There may have been a coffee variant too.

You are correct, both vanilla bean, and coffee variants were released, but I don’t believe a non adjunct ba space and time has been released recently. Apparently they have a few more kegs left.

I'm guessing all those release spreadsheets have long since been abandoned since TH started releasing 40 beers every week?
