Correct. I don’t often buy bottles to share, so 12oz - 16oz is preferred over 750.

Damn, so a release spreadsheet still exists! I thought for sure everybody had given up by now.

I would say Sap should be available, but you never know (it's drinking amazing on draft, btw). All the Sap beers have been dialed in seemingly since the move to Charlton.

Definitely go for the regulars if you don't like "murkbombs", but remember it's Tree House. Even the regulars are looking murky these days. Also, hop burn is rare with TH beers, even the Jjj's and Ggg's, but I can't say it's completely non-existent.

Depending on the day you come, you should try some on draft before buying cans. You can always add to your to go order if you want to.

Yeah, I don’t really think hop burn is much of an issue with TH. There might be too much hop saturation, but I generally wouldn’t classify that as hop burn.

On another note, Old Timey is phenomenal.

On my second 6oz pour of Old Timey. It’s a straight bourbon soaked stout with plenty of oak, vanilla and molasses. I don’t really know how much room there is for improvement on a na ba stout.

This is an amazing beer. I don’t know how long the barrels sat before being filled with a stout, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was less than a day.

I got a bottle of Tree House's bourbon, batch #2. Oh boy. WOOF. This might be the worst whiskey I've ever had. It smells like white whiskey and tastes like cedar chips. Tree House makes great beer, whiskey, not so much.

I’m not a bourbon person, but that isn’t surprising.

with bourbon I tend to stay from small, boutique distilleries. Have had just enough bad experiences that I'd rather not take the gamble and would rather just go with the predictable excellence of the elite big label stuff.

Thats still a shame to hear though. Aside from the spirits (which I haven't bought any of) I've been really liking their pushes into coffee beans, cold brew cans, and seltzer. I'm always stocking up on those every time I visit. The cold brew cans in particular I think are fantastic.

I would bet a three year old can of Old Man that any liquor store whiskey would blind taste test beat Tree House whiskey. I am a big fan of their beers- The coffee is decent, but overpriced. The spirits program is a sick joke.

I agree, the coffee is decent, but there’s better out there in the same price range.

I almost grabbed a bottle of the b2 whisky, but again, I don’t often drink liquor. It would have been a dumb impulse purchase.

Their beer, it’s delicious. Arguably the best in the industry.

I thought the coffee liqueur was absolutely fantastic. Haven't tried any of the other booze, not super interested in it and wouldn't be surprised if it's mediocre, especially the bourbon.

I enjoy the coffee - the cold brew cans are as good as any I've had and are priced really decently. The beans aren't quite as good as George Howell or Gracenote, but they're in the ballpark enough that I will usually grab a bag if they have anything fresh when I go. I wouldn't argue that they should be in the $12-15 range a bag rather than $18.

Yeah, I mean, there’s some really phenomenal beans out there for 18$ / 12oz.

I also thinks it’s worth mentioning that their whisky / bourbon production is in its earliest days. I guess we’ll see what’s going on in 10 years. I assume they also wanted to see some sort of return on the investment earlier than later.

The bourbon market is pretty crazy. I think it was just a business decision to jump in. I’m not a big bourbon drinker, but I like it, so I’m in your camp where if I ever do buy it, it’ll be in a few years when the program is more established

How are people finding the 8/23 batch of Green? It's not bad at all, but also not as transcendent as Green often is. Just a bit muted in both aroma and flavor to me.

On the positive side, Curiosity 13 and East Hill from the same visit were both phenomenal. I wish they'd make East Hill available on a regular basis. It's right up there with Edward for me among the top ~5% hoppy beers.

I had the Smoked Lager the other day at Deerfield and it was delightful on a warm September day. The campus at that place is literally the complete opposite of a little red barn in someone's driveway from my first visit almost exactly a decade ago.

To add: Took home Little Machine (??) and the Festbier. Haven't gotten into either. My friend had a pour of Eureka, which was murkier than I remember and a little fuller in body.

I'm more of a scotch guy personally, but I like some bourbon too. I bought it on a lark just to try it not expecting much, and I've spent $30 on dumber shit. It surpassed my expectations with how godawful it is. I have a friend with a gigantic whiskey collection and we're going to do a "terrible whiskey tasting" with us and some friends where we just try all of the shitty whiskeys we've acquired along the way.

When you go to a barbecue spot you don’t order spaghetti and meatballs. When you go to an Italian restaurant you don’t order a cheeseburger. When you go somewhere get what they’re known for and what they’re great at. One day they might be great at making spirits but if I’m going to tree House I’m not buying liquor
