I got a chance to hit Treehouse Tewksbury this week. It’s 8 minutes from my work and on my way home. Luckily, I’m independently wealthy. The process was incredibly easy; I waited only 2 minutes from the time I got there. Hoping draft pours are coming soon!

Kind of a dumb question possibly but what causes there to be such a dense and good head on their canned cold brew? Huge fan of it but realized that unless there is some nitro or something added I wouldn’t expect it. Just curious.

Aren’t you all itching for a non beer topic with them anyways :joy:

I recall seeing on their monochrome cans that there was nitrogen added, but I could be mistaken?

Yep thats right, they have a "coffee specific nitrogen doser". Recent batch of Paragon they mentioned upping the nitrogen level and to shake the can before pouring.

Ahhhh I missed this. This makes way more sense now! I just didn’t think they actually added it.

    Pink Bourbon is amazing

The can list is (as usual) rather overwhelming at Charlton and was just wondering from the regulars of this thread if anything was a “must” buy at the moment ((D)IPAs and lager-wise) and if any of you have tried The Big One. I usually try to stick to the TH staples (and there are a few available right now). Also, I’m assuming Stick Season is probably fresher than Autumn? Amazing how many lagers they have right now, in particular, Rauchbiers. Thanks in advance.

Stick Season is just under a week fresher than Autumn. I’ve never had Autumn, but enjoyed the couple of cans of Stick Season I had last winter.

I really enjoyed the one can I had of Hello Greater Boston. I got gifted it and normally wouldn’t have bought it, but it was a very solid surprise.

Little Fire Oak is awesome. I always get Free to Roam when it’s available. I also really enjoyed Behind the Times (dunkel Rauchbier). These are a few things I grabbed on my last visit a couple weeks back.

It is wild that I've found myself thinking the same thing. Almost too much beer, half the amount of options would still be an embarrassment of riches. Well, well, well, how the turntables...

I’m actually really enjoying Lights Out at the moment. Low ABV and distinctly Treehouse.

I don’t get the chance to get TH very often but the last couple of times there were literally more than 30 options. I have some money to burn, but man, you can rack up to $150-200 pretty easily and quickly. As the kids say, 1st World problems for sure.

Nice seeing Tree of Life (vb) in 12 ounce cans.

I agree, there’s almost too many options. I understand that each beer is different, but still… Regarding ipas, at this point I rarely venture outside of the core group and their relatives (julius, green, haze, and alter ego)

That’s why I asked about The Big One. They say it’s same hop bill as Haze but (obv) jacked up.

especially when you are required to buy 4 packs of almost everything.

I’ve had 2 4 packs since it was first released, I don’t think I’d go for it again, the abv is fairly well hidden but it’s a bit too much for me. It confirmed my tendency to lean on the core stuff. That said, I think it’s worth trying, I certainly had no problems finishing either 4 pack.

Yeah, I don’t even need singles, 2 packs would be a fine compromise.

We’re going to get ticket reservations regardless on Saturday but are they actually still needed given we are past the summer peak on the cape?

It is still listed on the website that they are required Friday - Sunday but the staff we talked to previously has opened up for walk ins in the spring and expected to do the same for fall/winter?

    Anyone been lately?

I stopped in Charlton on Sunday on my way back from Boston. Been there 10-12 times now as well as the Sandwich location 4 times. I have to say I am more impressed every time I go there. They had 67 different can (Beer) options, 14 bottled Beers, 19 canned Cocktails, 17 different Seltzers, 10 different Spirits as well as a bunch of different coffee beans and cold brewed coffees.
No line at all for can pickup either at 3 in the afternoon although there were lines for pours and coffee.
The volume of fresh beers and other products they have available on any given day is mind boggling. The place is beautiful and customer service is top notch.

Is there any other Brewery in the country (or world for that matter) doing what they are doing? I am genuinely curious as I haven't encountered anything even remotely close to what's going on there and I would guess I've been to 100+ Breweries all over the country.

Was there the past couple of weekends and it is still very busy. I would get a reservation to be safe. I have walked in on Fridays prior to 5 in the past month and was able to get drafts no problem.

Stick Season was one of my favorites of 2021, probably the beer on the list right now that most has me considering a trip in the next week or so. I’ve been holding out for curiosity 27 as it seemed they were really pumping through the oldies for a bit, but I suppose I could be waiting a while.
