Trail fresh hop strata on tap is great.

I had a can of this that a friend gave me in the back of my fridge that I opened on Thanksgiving and it was excellent. Wasn't expecting much since it was already sorta old, but it was really good.

Just popping in to say that Bear is frickin' phenomenal. Earthy rye bread, roasty malt, semi-sweet dark cocoa, a little coffee, and just enough hop bitterness to round it out, with a stellar creamy texture. Hard to imagine a better dark beer. I also grabbed a couple cans of Cozy, the baltic porter, and I'm eager to see how that compares.

Grab a bunch of cans and split them with our friends last night.

We all agreed Intemperance was just not right. It poured out a sludge the last quarter of the can that was just undrinkable. I felt bad one of us got that pour and it was horrible and horrible looking. Treehouse was super cool about it and said there may be some issues with that beer and gladly comped us new beers. Have to say that’s the first one from them in a long time that was truly bad.

The other holiday stouts were good but nothing stood out. However, double shot wishlist is fire.

The holiday ipas truly caught us off guard. The write ups had us feeling a little iffy on purchasing but figured what the hell. Each one was excellent in its own way with just subtle additions to the beer!

There are nuances between the beers if you look for them, but you're not wrong. However, I'm still gonna drink them because that flavor is delicious lol. Still something other breweries haven't been able to fully replicate which is amazing in itself.

Cozy’s turning out to be a favorite of mine. I buy a few every time it shows up in Deerfield. I thought that by now I’d be accumulating a stash of them down in the basement but, no, I seem to be keeping up just fine.

If you bought a case each time, that's like $20,000 :whale:

Can you imagine being behind an indecisive, non-smartphone owner, while they scroll through a menu of 90+ can options trying to figure out how to add stuff to their cart and complete a transaction? I can't imagine anything more frustrating, esp as, at this point, non-smartphone owners are probably some of the most anti-tech, impatient with tech, people. It would've been a whole lot less expensive solution for treehouse to just start accepting cash again. (What is so wrong with cash?) If someone doesnt have a smartphone, they're going to be completely turned off by navigating a kiosk. This take is based on my old man, and any other 75yo+, who doesn't even trust an ATM. If he can't give you cash, whatever youre selling isnt worth it.

Why would we be behind that person if not for us being the exact same type of person?
It's no different than any other customer-use point of sale kiosk anywhere else.
Cash slows the process down. To a fault, Tree House seems to value efficiency highly.

Wishlist is definitely memorable. Unsubtle chocolate and coffee done incredibly well. A great cold weather stout.

It is super labor intensive to accept cash on such a big scale. Keeping it stocked, counting it, replacing it, bank runs, etc. Yes of course most places accept cash but I can definitely understand TH ruling it out since it will not hurt their business in anyway to not accept it.

Totally agree about the low ABV hoppy beers! Most of their (D)IPAs are around 8%+. It’s nice to see a few options in the 5% range.
