Quoting myself because I cannot edit the post and TH just tweeted that they WILL accept cash. So, never mind!

I thought I heard in the past that Massachusetts requires every business to accept cash. It may have changed since then.

there's something to that. Fenway & maybe Gilette switched to no-cash. but they had to install reverse-ATMs to comply, I think.

I’m pretty sure they accept cash if that’s how you want to pay.

I picked up some cans today, the building looked a bit "festive" with trees and some lights.

They were sampling a few of their canned cocktails. My favorite was the Airmail Cocktail which has rum, lime and honey flavors. It has an ABV of 7% which seems to be the about the same for the other options which included a vodka cranberry amongst others.

It is remarkable how far they have come and the diversity of their product offerings at this point. Aside from obviously being able to purchase an obscene amount of canned beer in 1 shot. When I got home, I realized that I would have liked to purchase some of those cold brew cans from them. Next time, I suppose. It's just a longish drive for me. That's probably a good thing for my wallet though, haha.

Every time I consider how many non-beer related beverages they have for sale, I wonder about their return on investment on all that stuff. Do they turn a profit on distilled spirits, canned cocktails, seltzers and cider? I would imagine some products are money losers. But what do I know, because they keep bringing out more and more.

A couple months back I bought a mixed 12 pack of various canned cocktails. I shared them with my wife and for the most part we were not impressed. A few of them were decent (Concord Club and Airmail something or other) but the rest I wouldn't seek out again.
That being said there is a market for almost everything and would imagine anything that doesn't break even they phase out. But this comes with absolutely no inside information and very little business acumen.

they have so much room for error by having no middleman in sales.

They already had the canning capabilities, the distillery makes all hard alcohol that goes in the bottles and canned cocktails, seltzer is easy when you already have a brewery, the coffee program likely pays for itself pretty easily with the beans and cold brew sales not to mention all the coffee stouts, ... I doubt they lose money on any of it, as each step builds off the abilities and successes they already had from the previous step. Plus, they get to keep all the money.

I've always been under the impression that the cocktails would have significantly higher margins than the beer, but I don't have expertise there so I could be wrong.

Also, had the chance to stop by Deerfield yesterday. It was my second time there (first time being opening weekend)... beer was great! Experience was seamless! I am wondering though, has anyone else been disappointed by the pizza? It was delicious the first time I was there, but hugely different this time (both in terms of style and quality). Overall still a great trip, just wondering if I'm alone in those sentiments.

Excited to dig into some of the holiday Tree House cans I picked up soon!

Just released today! Hoping I can make it out there, but unless it lasts until after the holiday, I'm not holding my breath...

I don't have a problem using a card for purchase and would prefer cash. I am turned off by getting to the counter and ordering, then being told that I need to pre- order through my phone. I really enjoy their beer and the experience of people watching while having a couple. But I can enjoy that as well at some of the other local breweries in the area.

I usually always consume beer fresh, but, for a variety of reasons, I have two cans of one-year-old Bear. I cracked one this past Saturday night. It was phenomenal. So roasty and perfect for a cold evening. Looking forward to grabbing some more.

I am making my third ever trip to treehouse this week. I'm quite excited. I prefer beers that are less than 6% abv. I've had several (Nomad, Rover, Little Fire, Old Man) and they were all awesome. But I am curious about these three:

    Ace in the Hole
    Warm your Bones
    Sapling

Has anyone had them? They all sound awesome and I am curious if you all have thoughts.

I like Sapling best of all the TH flagship “littles”. Crisp, and light with classic TH citrus and piney finish. Definitely not lacking in depth or flavor. Warm your Bones is mildly sweet with some orange spiciness. Easy drinker with some winter heft, but good to go alongside meals or having a few.

What, if any of the treehouse beers resemble a classic East Coast IPA (like dfh 60 min, or smuttynose finest kind). Those are the types of ipas I tend to enjoy most, but they seem like they are few and far between in the haze days. Does treehouse have anything like that?

Bright fits the bill, but they rarely seem to brew it these days.

Scrolling down the order page is actually funny now. Not as funny as 20 inch pieces of paper we used to fill out in line, but pretty funny.

First time at Tewksbury today, very easy in and out in less than 10 minutes. Looking forward to trying King Julius.
