I don't think so. The bottles of spirits are just on shelves with the t-shirts and key rings and glassware, not really a sampling situation.

These videos on youtube are finally putting the nail in the coffin to the “they still brew in Monson” theory that was floating around here for a while. Anyone know what they use the old location for? Besides brewing Good Morning for their own personal consumption, and laughing as they pour out whatever is left over

Don’t know if they still do but it used to be where they did a lot of their cellaring. A lot of barrels were kept there.

pretty sure since the revision to Charlton(i.e. the addition), they have all the cellaring space they need right there on premise. Moving stuff back and forth from Monson would be counterproductive. I've driven by Monson a couple times in the last year and it looks completely abandoned

To expand on my last post. I have an industry (not beer related) friend up in Portland. Seems to be a lot of talk / speculation about TH opening a location, possibly a restaurant + bar.

I like Tree House, but I would not go out of my way if in Portland to go to whatever TH location there is. It would seem like the Dave Mustaine Metallica era of moves.

That would be like when Tatte opens a new location across from your favorite local coffee shop.

Well, a Tatte opened up across the street from my work building which has a Starbucks while my favorite local coffee shop closed, so where does that leave me?

I would. Living close to and having done Portland 92929 times. There is no one up there from a beer perspective that touches TH. Especially if you are someone from out of town.

Anyone been to Charlton? How much of that profit generating crowd posts on BA? They would kill it in Portland.

I read that as no one in Portland makes beer as good as Tree House. Which, outside of the Allagash barrel program & white, I tend to agree with.

All Portland beer tastes the same. It's weird. Probably the grains. And the water. And my shitty palate.

I'd nut if TH opened a location there.

I think there is no doubting that TH would do well in Portland or wherever, they have the bona fides. I guess some might wonder how they would contribute or integrate with the Portland scene. I’m not going to waste time worrying about that until it becomes reality.

Actually, Modestman East was going to be in Portsmouth... was going to be? is going to be? I haven't heard any noise about it since this past summer. It seems to have quietly faded away.

Anybody have a perspective on C22? I was going to head to Tewksbury for the first time on Monday to grab some but just saw it sold out. Based on prior reviews, and it being now labeled it as "current" - it is now a Top 250 beer. Do you guys think this is now a rotational, is this a quick one and done, or is this a play at grabbing an unreal 29th spot in the top 250 (and well deserved I might add...!). Any idea how big of a batch this was? I did notice that recent reviews of this one, versus the original that was likely brewed at the original shed, or the next place, seemed a bit lower, so maybe they couldn't replicate the same taste if they used bigger tanks?

There are seven current ratings and no reviews. The ratings seem to be sort of scattershot. It would have been nice if people had said why they scored them the way they did, both the 4.5's and the 3.5's.

I never really wrote reviews of the Curiosity series because I figured that they were one-offs and I wouldn't need to remember them later on. I mean, who knew?
