exactly, and they already have plenty of fruity stuff or stouts that're sold only in 2 packs. They could easily sell/price everything in 2 packs and it would give people much greater flexibility. The downside, for them, is selling by the 2 pack would cut down on orders from FOMOists who order more than they should (or want) so they can get more than 6 varieties in a full case

Kinda disagree, visually, it’s almost impossible to mis-pack 4 beers in a cardboard case. If you’re packing 24 separate beers, it’s going to be much easier to make a mistake. When there’s a line out of the door for to go, imo, singles would create more mistakes, angry customers, and longer wait times

I'm on team bring back singles, but assuming it doesn't happen, admittedly it's also helped that somewhere along the way I stopped feeling like I had to try every single thing that sounds good or that I need to get my all my favorites every time I go. At this point I essentially expect that whatever I pass up will be back soon enough.

Personally, the whole singles thing doesn’t bother me at all, I don’t see them ever selling singles of Julius, or any can. That said, if they brought back singles, I’d be happy for you all.

Forgive me as I make a trip to Charlton maybe three times a year at best so my experience is limited. However, every time I am there to pick up an order the person handing the order to me goes over the cans thoroughly pointing out each beer that was ordered. Do mistakes happen? Yes. Is it more likely to happen? Maybe. But it could also be argued they're equally likely to make a mistake grabbing one or two cans as they would grabbing four.
Again, limited experience but I have never witnessed an angry customer at pickup. Do they exist? Maybe, but in my (limited) experience, customers are very understanding and far from angry when a mistake is made.
Surely someone can comment more precisely but how often are there lines out the door for pickup these days?
Personally, I am fine with them sticking to the 4pk (occasional 2pk) system they have. I like being able to spread out the beers a bit to see if there is any noticeable change in the flavor over a few weeks. Also, I would be super bummed if I only decided to get one or two of something I hadn't tried before only to find out I really like it and wish I had gotten more.
To each their own. Tree House is going to operate the way that works best for them. I'll still stock up every few months either way.

I definitely understand all the arguments against it, but I still think they could pull it off pretty easily if they were so inclined especially with online ordering. It just seems silly to me that they used to do this, then used the pandemic to not do it anymore. And now that we are somewhat back to normal they haven't gone back to it. It is what it is, I ain't mad at them. But I definitely do not buy nearly the amount of beer from them I would otherwise.

My argument is pretty simple. I’m not confident enough in Wafflebanger to buy more than 1 can

@DigitalNate is about to win the internet soon. When he brews Good Morning on the pilot system in the video. He crushes it and the final video is “sorry, special staff release only.”

It’s the ultimate f you to the trolls while at the same time a classy move for a boss to his employees he cares about. He can look right at the camera and say “See, I still go it”

While I've adjusted to the new normal of buying their beer by the 4-pack, I do really appreciate the more focused mix packs they've been offering recently. E.g., the Thrice Cream mix pack, the Quad Shot sampler, the Nomad sampler.

I really like when they offer the mixed lager 12-packs. almost always an automatic buy for me if its available when I go.

(Triple IPA, 9.0% ABV, 16oz) Breakfast Shake is a Triple IPA brewed with lactose sugar, banana, and strawberry. Pouring a beautiful mild pink color into your glass, it presents with a potent aroma and eye-catching appeal.

The flavor follows suit with notes of strawberry banana, ripe citrus, strawberry sorbet, and tropical fruit with a rich and velvety body. A beautiful juicy hop character from Barbe Rouge and Citra hops carries the flavor profile throughout, though it never overwhelms your palate.

Not gonna lie, this sounds really good.

We are this close to having Milkshake Julius.

The triple ipa flood gates have opened. Now they can release every beer in a Triple form. Soon enough they’ll have 269 options on the order page.

I remember when the list would be “pretty big” on Fridays and someone would calculate the “full allotment cost” and it would be like $1,500 or something like that. We would all laugh at how crazy that is compared to Monson. A full allotment now would probably be 6-figures

I can fit 25 cases of 16oz cans in the bed of my Nissan Frontier. I remember maxing out at 23 cases at Charlton pre-pandemic and having to ask for a couple of empty boxes to keep things from sliding around. (BTW, without heavy-duty suspension you do have to plan your braking somewhat in advance).

Now I suppose I’d need to get a cube truck except that, with Deerfield twice as close to me as Charlton, I just make more trips.

Wafflebanger is great. Pretty much just a DIPA, but the maple syrup is there and adds something nice. Dare I hope for a vanilla bean+steeped on blueberries version?

I injured by back--severely--last April bending down to pick up a single case at Deerfield. Even thinking about 23 gives me spasms.

That might make sense if the cans came in 4 pack holders. They don't, so either way they're basically filling your case box with singles. (Or maybe that's just Sandwich?)

I think at this point they have enough staff and experience with high volume sales that they can allow singles again. At the point of sale, it’s still your responsibility to check your order before you leave. I was on board with singles being way too difficult when they moved to the drive-up sales method during the pandemic. But now that’s over and they could do it just like they used to. Also, Fox Farm does it
