For reference, it's pretty similar today.

It's about the same today, except the tent heat is on.

I hoped they would have some outdoor seating for the unusually warm afternoon but no. Wish they had some bar-type seating for singles and pairs.

That said, it's still a pretty nice place, and of course only for a few months.

 

I've yet to try it but that doesn't really surprise me as they tend to lean sweet with classics styles. Still generally great tho

 

So has anyone actually tried Habanero Haze or Jalagreeño yet? I'm morbidly curious

 

Grabbed Very Jalagreeño from Tewksbury on Friday. Nothing spicy in the aroma, but you can definitely taste it on the sip. Doesn't linger or burn. Sort of works pretty well tbh.

It's nothing I'm going to seek out or be clamoring for them to brew again, but an interesting twist on Very Green.

 

Pepper IPAs are *not* my thing but I gambled yesterday on Nomadic (Nomad + cardamom) and Stately (table beer + Earl Grey) and I feel like both are winners. Stately is relatively subtle. Nomadic is not, but it turns out that cardamom is an excellent complement to dark lager. I would not have guessed!

 

Why the fuck has Nate not done Green/Julius w/melon?

This seems so obvious over all these years.

 

None of you slackers have reviewed or even rated Big Bear Coffee. Hop to it! I’m heading down to Deerfield next week and need to know whether or not it’s disgustingly sweet.

 

It's not. And I think Double Shot + Triple Shot/whatever are cloying.

 

What would be the most strategic way to split up a treehouse haul across 4 cases to last about 4 months. 2 hops, 1 lager, 1 dark? Assuming you drink the hops fresher for the most part and then move onto the others?

planning some brewery trips this year and budgeting. Treehouse prices are really hard to beat. Price for quality is unmatched. I’ll use some rewards points to book a hotel for a night and come back to NYC with the goods.

 

Someone’s gotta be watchin the tanks, right?

The tank comment may be in reference to Nate’s comments in the last video.

 

All TH locations were closed the last couple of days, yesterday and today, for their team party, which was at Mohegan Sun. Hence the comped rooms comment and the no one around to watch the tanks.

 

How do you know it was at Mohegan? That picture gave me a hangover
