Yeah, Saturday 5PM was a mob scene in Tewksbury. But I have to say that the pour line moves very quickly and the beers to go was a 5 minute process when using that beer to go kiosk. I’ve been very negative about the order ahead, 3 beer maximum in the past, but it certainly seems to be working for them.

It sounds like I'll enjoy my peppermint latte cans. Unfortunately we went inside to have a few pours and pizza, and no matter how the pizza is this is likely a one and done. Just a big daycare at 6:30 on a Thursday. No beer hall atmosphere although I didn't really expect it nowadays.

We started the trip home after lunch at Bissell Brothers, and they actually seem to be turning things around with table service for the "old" taproom with a 21 and over open seating lounge in the space they acquired. Less of a disruptive feel, and parents using the taproom as a playground.

New article in the Globe about the lawsuit. Treehouse issued their response to the matter, asking the judge to dismiss it.

Had 0 affect on their business. I for one, enjoyed the holiday beers. But I did leave some coal for nasty Nate. Made sure to leave a 10 yr old growler for Granger.

They aren’t going to implode. The company isn’t facing an existential threat. I don’t recall anyone saying that, not in this forum. It’s an internal financial issue that will be resolved, but it’s also a matter of interest because it offers a glimpse into the inner workings of a company that is very careful about it’s public image. And who is saying it’s going to affect their business?

In their response, the owners described Granger as money-hungry partner who mischaracterized the dealings between him, Lanier, Goudreau, and Tree House.

They denied that Granger or any other shareholder “was ever deprived of financial benefit from ownership of Tree House shares” and noted that Granger had received more than $850,000 in distributions on a $10,000 investment made more than 10 years ago, according to court documents.

In addition, Lanier and Goudreau said in their response that Granger was informed as recently as October that he would be receiving a $5,000 quarterly dividend from the company indefinitely.

Who knows what the truth is, but this is exactly why I gave zero fucks about this when it first came out, at least from the perspective of caring that TH did something ”bad”. Any business dispute is going to have another side to it, and I’m inherently far less sympathetic to some investor who feels he got a raw deal than I am to, say, an employee who claims that wages or working conditions are awful. This is a big boy disagreement between two sides of successful business people, who each have lawyers and plenty of sophisticated financial advice. No one got screwed here, at least not in a way that I care about or view as inherently immoral.

Being able to buy the beer that you want is so lame. Glad they gave us a little sniff of the good old days

Tewksbury during the week, watching guys finish their rounds and yelling and cheering them on is fun too.

Has to be from the deck. We’ve watch groups lined up at the rail doing so ha. Didn’t bother us and we got a kick out of it sitting up there. I’ve seen a few living in a glory putt. And others give the nod during a walk of shame.
