Anyone coming up for FOFA who can bring some fresh Julius?

 

Question;
Making the trek up from Plymouth, MA this Saturday. Was thinking that getting there by 9:30 for an 11am opening would be plenty of time. Am I wrong? Thanks.

I got there around 10:00-10:05 two Saturdays ago and was #29 in line.

 

Traveling there this weekend. August 8th any chance they will have another round of Julius in cans? Saw it was there last weekend anyone know what there release schedule usually is?

 

It's unpredictable. Usually Julius isn't released back to back weeks but you never know.

 

You should start to see it every week soon.

 

I haven't been out to Monson in a while, at least since they opened the new space, but I have an errand to run Thursday evening that will bring me into Sturbridge, so i was thinking about trying to swing by. Leads me to a couple questions...

First, Not sure how going through both the can and growler line works. I assume you still just hand in slips for the growlers and go get in the can line once they have the growler slips?

Second, the errand i'm running is picking up a new foster dog for a rescue group I work with, so I need to be in Sturbridge at 6:30. The question is sorta two-fold. If I get to TH at around 3 or so, has the line speed been good enough that i'd be out of there by 6? If not, do they still let you leave your growlers there and come back for them?

 

2 weeks ago i arrived at 4pm, was #58 and was out by 5:35 with both cans and growlers. u should easily be out of there before 6pm. don't believe you can just leave your growlers at this point.

you'll get a slip and return it prior to opening. if you arrive at 3pm, there's a pretty good chance they'll start filling your growlers before opening. there's only 1 line.

That is great, though I am pretty sure many here would be just as pleased if was Green was the one that would be available every week as opposed to Julius.

Big step if they can offer one beer week in and week out. Not that I mind how things are going now. I really do enjoy getting different beers every week. Offering Julius every week is likely a function of larger fermenting tanks and more brewing days as opposed to going the route of Alchemist and brewing one thing only. A double brew on the 30 barrel system means one large 60 barrel fermenter is filled in one shot.

 

Just read that Truth (and Eureka) is (are) being poured at the Armsby Abbey ' s anniversary dinner this weekend! !!!!! The whole dinner looks amazing. I just can't possibly swing the price of admission : (

 

I hear ya I would love to go but 210 a ticket is just to much for me as well

 

It's been too long since my last TH trip (2 weeks), Lights On is back, I'll be there with bells on on Thursday!

Anyone know if they'll let me just leave a second credit card at the brewery for visits?
