If you bring caps they will re-use unless the cap is gross, but you are not expected.
Awesome thank you. One of my 8 got a little gross
So, are they doing another can run today? Also, what is the ideal time to get there for the 5pm open? I can be there really at any time after 4.
As there's been no announcement of today's beer by 2 PM, the ideal time to get in line is an hour ago.
They open at 5pm today, no? I have a feeling that the release today is going to be something big because they delayed the announcement for so long. Heading out right after class ends.
The excitement is brewing (pun intended...)!!!
Yeah, the problem with this new "silent release" idea is that everyone's on to them now...
exactly... now i know im going after work since they still havent announced what it is lol
Does the update this morning count? They changed the can limits for green and alter ego.
They confirmed on Twitter earlier that another canned beer is being released today.
Very Green anyone? Curiosity perhaps...
Curiosity killed the cat....
A couple "silent" releases of some of their core beers oughta set that straight!
Not a chance in hell its VG. It was released a month ago and only shows up twice a year.
For Thursday 2/18
- Very Hazy, 3pp
- Green, 4pp, 215 cases
- Alter Ego, 4pp, 165 cases
On-tap for bottle fills: Very Hazy, Alter Ego, Green, Echelon 3, Double Shot
I always find that going on a Thursday night will be the best bet for stocking up. Went last Thursday night no can line and walked out in five minutes.
Can release today at Tree House. When was the last time they brewed this?
3 can limit
Pretty great lineup.
I believe late November 2014
"Not a chance"? King Julius was only made once like years ago, it's come out twice since the first week of December. I'm guessing many of these runs will a couple times year now... how else do you think regular beers like Alter Ego (my fave after Julius) will sell out?
Wait, are you suggesting that if they only canned regular offerings, they wouldn't sell out? That seems far-fetched, at least in the current environment.
Now obviously I could be wrong, but yes at the limits they were at, I don't see Alter Ego or Green selling out this week- but then again, everyone knows that Thursday is the secret drop day, so why go Wednesday when you can go Thursday
"Getting hit hard here - a heads up that we will cap growler cards at 400 tonight. Thanks for understanding."
Could be, but they could always move up limits to sell out. They also went through more than half of the available beer released yesterday with 3 days left this week.
yup I saw that exact same quote... probably the same place you did.
That is true I didn't think about them increasing the limits- but at the original limits, the amount of people that went yesterday doesn't mean that they were gonna sell out of the beer. More than half the people that wanted to go this week could've gone yesterday.
I'm not hating on TreeHouse, I dig their band man, but, my initial point was that no beer of theirs until they state themselves, is only "twice a year".
Oh yea for sure, I agree with this. If I had to guess we'll see these amped-up versions a bit more frequently.
Silly question, but this won't last til Saturday will it?
Highly doubt it.
I knew it had to be something good since they waited forever to post something to their twitter account. Too bad I won't get to try it.
I got ticket 395/400. Victory
If there are any Very Hazy cans left by the end of tonight, I'd be shocked if there were more than 10 cases. Entirely possible they could sell all of them tonight, along with what's left of Alter Ego and Green. At least there's a new canning run tomorrow.
So I just saw some doucher come down the side driveway and throw a cigarette butt down right in front of the sign that says "please don't use this driveway and go around".
Growlers will probably last until early saturday based on my guess that it was a 30bbl batch (and they may reduce limits to 1 750pp tomorrow?) 75 cases of cans remain as of ~ 1 hour ago. Limits on cans will probably be reduced to 2pp tomorrow, so I could see them lasting a while, but saturday might be a stretch. Just my opinion, good luck.
Looks like roughly 16 cases of very hazy left total. A good stack of green anf the alter ego looks light
Going up for the first time this Saturday, figuring I'll get a bit of whatever is left.
In line in front of trailers by at 7:38 and out by 7:53 with cans. (Knew ahead of time that growlers were a lost cause!)
I think cigarette smokers think they are grandfathered in to littering laws...
Are you driving up from Pennsylvania?
I'm actually going to be up in Albany already so I'll be coming from there. 10 hours drive for beer is a bit much but I can justify 2
