They are due for a 300 case packaging run tomorrow and their site says its gonna be something small batch. Given the King Julius and Very Green sightings over the last month and the fact we haven't seen Haze in a few weeks, I'm calling Very Hazy!

I interpreted that they mean a 5bbl growler only beer when they say small batch. They usually save those for saturdays. I would love to see a return of forerunner.

Evmo - Good catch. I looked quick and didn't realize the 'small batch' mention was under the growler portion of the OnTap page. Even still, with three 500 case runs so far instead of their usual 450, this means less overall growler beer so maybe something like a 300 case Very Hazy run at 6 per person and a ton for fills. I've actually never had VH but Haze is pound for pound my favorite beer by these guys so I'd love to try some!

That one is on my list also! I don't think they have brewed it since 2014? Not really sure. So as far as the 500+ case runs, i believe they just get bigger yields from beers like eureka and maybe also sap when you compare it to green or julius. I think you might be right about the amount of kegs they have filled for growlers on julius, because they have changed their limits, which recently have been 2pp and up to one 2 liter, now it is 1 2 liter or 2 750s pp on julius. IIRC, when they do a double 30bbl batch they end up setting aside about 7bbls for growlers, and can about 45 bbls. (Edit: qoute from nate himself: 52 out of 60 BBLS from a Julius batch are packaged. 45 BBLS go to cans and 7 BBLS go to kegs. The other 8 barrels are consumed by hop angels. . .) rule of thumb is 1bbl = 10 case of 16 oz cans.
When i first saw 1800 cases, i thought that meant 4 60bbl batches, but i guess if you add everything up, it should only be a 30bbl batch that they will be canning tomorrow, which makes me think it won't be any "regular" beers like green or haze if that is the case. New curiosity maybe? Double shot in cans maybe? I would absolutely love that. I have actually been waiting for the next batch of doubleshot to make the trip up on a growler day.

Line is in building. Moving impressively well. 3 bottle limit. Cadence kicked. Replaced with Echelon pale ale. I've been here 30 mins, got my cans and they just took my glass.

My first trip out on a Thursday and I was very impressed with the efficiency. I needed to get on the road quickly, so I only went for cans today. I arrived a little after 4 pm and was about number 75 in line. Doors opened at 4:40 pm. I was walking out with the full can allotment a little after 5 pm and on the road shortly thereafter. They were filling card #45 for growlers when I left. Not sure I'll go back again this winter as it was a cold wait, but the quick turnaround definitely made this trip worth it.

I went last night at about 7PM, just for cans. It was very smooth, in and out within about 10 minutes. Growler wait times were estimated at 45 mins - an hour. Good experience.

Are these Friday canning runs usually ready for opening or does it take longer sometimes? Making the hour plus trip to TH today and was hoping to have some more cans to bring home for the Pats game this weekend. I'll be happy either way. HAZE is my not so bold prediction for today's run...

They're always ready for open. They're good at it.

I don't think it's regular Haze. It's 1PM and they haven't announced yet. That's very unlike them unless it's something special. I've heard from a couple places that it's 225 cases, purple cans. I'm really hoping it's Very Hazy, because it's been since August, and they seem to brew it twice a year.

I don't think I could make another run up to treehouse this week (went wednesday) but I'm rethinking this since they have announced the next canning. Thinking it could be something rare!

Yeah it'll probably be something good, it's almost too obvious when they don't announce something by 11
