I remember reading that a while ago, just figured the recent crowds might bear reconsideration. It's a bummer if only for the fact that it turns a 1 hr visit into a 3+ hr one. That said I've been lucky myself as both times I've had Good Morning were in and out experiences (blizzard and making it right before close on a Saturday).

You're crazy if you think Good Morning in cans would make things more manageable.

People buying cans occupy space in the building for ~ 30 minutes and a line across the entire parking lot is through in an hour. They get at least 3 people through the can line (almost definitely being conservative) in the amount of time it takes one person to get growlers filled.

I'm sure they like having a handful of beers be fill only and I know that growlers better emphasize their hopes that people will drink Good Morning and Double Shot before the coffee/maple fade but in terms of efficiency alone the can process is far smoother.

Yes, overall the can line process allows more people to pass through more quickly, and with greater ease.

However, if you put GM in a can, it instantly becomes more tradable, easier to mule, quicker to get. You've already got 1000+ people showing up for everyday cans, and you've got 6-700 people willing to wait for Good Morning growlers on a given day. How many people do you think would show up for GM cans? The line would stretch to Brimfield.

I think they pre-fill some Good Morning growlers before open though, no? This speeds it up some. Still, growler fills are clearly slower than cans so I have to think that canning it would speed things along. And I'm not sure I buy the rationale of format encourages people to drink it more quickly - wouldn't they do growler-only for the IPAs as well to encourage people to drink them more quickly?
