I handed in my order card at #153 and I was order #178. Took about 45 mins to fill it.

I believe the cans are now gone... I could see tree cases when I left.

    Double shot is amazing!

Just an update, this week, Tues-Sunday will be the week of the Brimfield Antiques Fair, 5000+ dealers all along Rte 20. Best to plan alternate routes if possible.

How early on Saturdays does Tree House typically run out of cans? I'm planning on going to the Brimfield Antiques Fair on Saturday and then taking a quick run up to TH in the mid afternoon.

That's probably about an hour or 2 earlier than I was thinking about showing up. Hopefully, they'll last longer because people won't want to brave the crowds and traffic from the Antique fair

Anyone know why they changed their growler limit for Doubleshot from 4 to 3 on Saturday? Website stated 4 was the limit and even today's more current information states 4. I imaged it might be because they were worried about running out at first but seeing have they still have plenty for 4 growlers still for next opening I'm sure they had more than plenty for Saturday.

It seems they've been running a 4 bottle total limit in general too, as opposed to 5. At least, that's what it's been my last three visits.

double shot always lasts. it used to be max 1 2l now it's 2. not everyone is a coffee person and wanting to pay for the growlers. but that's fine by me, they're phenomenal. and the rest of us will continue to indulge.

I'm sure this has been asked before, but does anyone have experience w/ how long a 750 growler of Double Shot will typically keep for?

I've had one at 6-7 weeks that still tasted fantastic. I think others have held them even longer.

FYI regarding Double Shot - all of this year's batches were brewed on the 30 BBL brew house, yielding about 20 BBLS of finished beer. It currently all goes into kegs, which leaves a TON for growler fills. It's been lasting 3-4 weeks. It's one of my favorite beers and I'm working toward making some variant of it *all of the time*. . . or most of the time so I can squeeze in TWSS, Good Morning, etc.

I've had DS and GM growlers with 6 months of age on them and they were just as good as a couple days old

It looks like you took down the job posting for Cellarperson... is this an indication that the position has been filled? And will you guys be doing stuff like BA Good Morning? BA Double Shot on Vanilla Beans? Mouth watering just thinking about all the possibilities...

Thanks for the info Nate. Maybe a dumb question, but is there a reason that TH isn't planning on canning stouts besides TWSS?

I believe Nate posted his reason was he didn't want people to cellar them and felt growlers were a lower chance of it? If I'm remembering this wrong and misquoting, Apologies!
As awesome as it would be to have those beers canned it's pretty awesome that they follow that belief. Now if they could can that pilsner they made, Now we're talking! Next summer perhaps?

I'm pretty sure he said he changed his thinking and that they were planning on canning them as opposed to bottling because bottling would give people the cellar mentality. So you were right on track haha but I think they will eventually be canned, not growler only.
