I think every Wednesday is a sell out now. It's the new normal.

Green + Alter Ego? Sell out.
Julius + Haze? Sell out.
Julius + Green? Sell out.
Lights On + Haze? Sell out.

Let's face it, they make damned good beer, and people buy the everloving shit out of it.

 

Stupid question but it has been awhile since I really paid attention. When they do a run of Julius/Haze for Wed for example, do we ever see the same brews canned again later in the week or do they do a different beer each run?

Also have people seen trading in the lot, for example my Haze allotment for your Julius?

 

Different beers within the same week, but you might see it again in a week or 2.

I recall they did Julius on a Wednesday and a Friday in the same week 2-4 months back.

 

Yeah, I thought this happened just one time.

 

Def gonna sell out today...early. Line has been huge whole time with lots full and people being told to circle around. Nuts!

 

Line was 200 people deep at 1PM according to FB. Looks like my earlier prediction might have been conservative!

 

This is insane. It's mind-boggling that the lots can be full and the line this long when Tree House is averaging only a few seconds per transaction.

 

What is also insane is that this is THE weekly norm! People are showing up and getting the limit of whatever beers TH pumps out. Seems like they could pump out a crappy Bud clone and a watery Coors Light clone and sell out by 5:15 p.m. (might only happen once, but they would sell it all the first time).

 

I think a lot of it has to do with the unknown. I know me and a lot of people have to plan these trips out in advance without any idea of what is being released and then buy the limit regardless of what it is beacuse we made the trip. If there was a release schedule Im sure you would see slow days where cans last and then also crazy busy days with lines. But if people knew that in three weeks on Wednesday they are going to get Ma and Bear I bet there wouldn't be a line or sell out. Its really smart, fantastic marketing.

 

It really is! I compare it to Trillium where I can look at their list of available and up next and see what I like and head over there to get what I like. TH if I'm in the area on a Wed. I'm stopping and getting what I get and am happy to do so...

 

I know this has been asked before but is there a good time to show up on Saturdays to get in and out?

Heading out west at some point Saturday to go to the Loius CK show in Springfield and want to grab some beer for Sat night. I'm not concerned about getting cans as much as I am looking to get a few growlers and if I get cans it is a bonus. I'll have my wife with me who is a good sport but I don't really want to be in a 2 hr line.

 

30 cases of each left at 3:41 p.m. 120 allotments at their 9 second per transaction means 18 more minutes before sellout...
