I like when they taste orange peel in their beer. That sounds yummy.

That'd make sense, they like those round numbers for allotments. I just have a feeling it's going to be Haze today, 6 per person is my guess.

That would be lovely. Excited to try C28 as well.

They already changed the limits to 6 Haze, 4 Bear and 2 C28....reduced the Bear and C28 amounts.

Figures it's Haze. Making a 6 hour (each way) trip next Wednesday. Really wanted Alter Ego and Haze, so of course they were both brewed a week prior to my trip.

So it is still a half case today, just lowered the limit on both C28 (2 PP) and Bear (4 PP) to make it that way.

Teach me, Obi-Wan. I've been tracking releases for almost a year now, and I've never seen them release Haze on a Friday, and only once in back-to-back weeks.

    Cannot wait for Charlton!

Obi-wan might have based his guess on the immense number of purple cans in the back left portion of the brewery....

This. Was there Wednesday. Have a friend planning to go today asked me to speculate what else they may drop and guessed Haze based on the massive stacks of Haze cans that were prominent and upfront in the can section.

They must like the 6, 12, and 18 (and dare I say that elusive 24) numbers because of the ease in packaging and processing with customers... especially since they are so keyed in on speed of sale to manage the ever daunting line of their fans.

How's everyone feeling about the Curiosity 28? Cracked a can tonight and maybe this is one that will be better after a few days of mellowing but I'm struck by the bitter finish (which shouldn't surprise me with the Simcoe hops). I'm thrown off by the 'fruit punch' descriptor in their tasting notes - I don't get any of that whatsoever. I'd describe this as an IPA version of Lights On with a fairly bitter finish - its got that familiar 'orange' flavor minus the malty backbone. I always love reading agreenmans reviews but his 4.83 rating was outrageously high but to each their own. I'm pretty confident they re-worked Sap in the late summer because it tasted a little more juicy and less piney and I've heard others say the same and if my tastes buds aren't deceiving me I'd have to think it was to take a beer that (let's face it) was as slow of a seller as they have and make it have greater appeal. I only bring that up because it's interesting to me that they'd bring another beer out that has the pine and bitterness as some if it's defining characteristics when those same attributes weren't as well received in other beers, primarily Sap.

You gotta take into account that the 4.83 probably includes the "Tree House" bump of at least .5. Most of their beers are top notch but with some of them they certainly get a benefit of a doubt for the name on the can. I haven't had 28 though so I am speaking out of my ass on this one...

Anyone think Doppelganger will get a proper can soon? Seems to be releasing a lot lately.

I think Bright would be next. Go the same route as Eureka where they can stamp the variant on the bottom.

I was greatly reminded of Sap but with more fruity sweetness and "bubblegum" flavor. Still has that piney finish.

It's very good, but by TH standards, definitely not something I'd seek out if they brewed it again.

Regarding the reworking of Sap... this makes me wonder. I got my hands on a recent batch and it did seem a little juicier than the last batch I had... but this previous batch I'm referring to was more than 5 months ago, so I wonder how accurate my recall is. I hope they're not seeking to make it juicier... I really like how Sap stands apart in its woodsy freshness from their core IPA offering. Of course, this could all be baseless conjecture due to poor recall or batch-to-batch variation.
