Hahaha...picturing a brewer putting actual milk into a boiling tank!

Lactose does not equal milk. It's just a type of sugar.

I like to get there at 4:30, they usually open at 5. You could probably get a way with coming a little later to avoid the big line but than you run the risk of them selling out of a can.

Sorry meant to say they usually open around 4

I've never seen them sell out of a can that early. On Thursday and Friday, I don't get out of work until 5 and it takes 45 minutes to get there. Nothing has ever sold out that quick. They can't sell beer that fast.

People start lining up at 1:30-2:00 and I will never understand why. There's usually about 100 people or so in line by opening.

Don't be discouraged by that though. You'll get through the line faster than you expect. Growlers take a while but that's understandable.

I would guess it depends on the release, but I was there last Thursday a little after 6 PM, for example, and there was no line for 10 pp cans of Green.

I think it depends on the release. My friend went to the last KJ release and said it was a shitshow. I think they sold out of it by 7:30. Still plenty of time, but it's insane when you consider how many people had to go through that little door in 3 hours.

I could probably spend 20 minutes and dig through their twitter posts, but does anyone know how long beer has been lasting on Saturdays?

Usually cans gone around 1ish, growlers lasting until 3-4. All depends on what is released though

If it's left over from the previous day and there's 20 cases or less, it can sell out around 5:30 I've seen it happen.

Well yea...but anything they're putting out for the first time usually lasts the day at least.

True, it's also less of an issue when it gets colder

Kinda off topic/ kinda not...has the leaves started changing colors up there yet? Wife and I planning a trip to treehouse next weekend and curious if that's a good time to see some foliage and if so any suggestions where to go and where to stay overnight?

It's just starting to change. Need some cold nights and warm days to really get it going. Not sure when peak will be, the drought this summer means leaves are turning later and will drop quicker. Sturbridge has a lot of places to choose from, from Inns to Econo Lodges.

How does Doppel compare to some of Tree House's other DIPAs?
