Wow no sell-out yesterday. Maybe there is something to this post-Labor Day theory. Need a bigger sample size though.

Did In Perpetuity come out September 9th, 2015? Or is that the date of nate and Lauren's wedding? Either way, is that what everyone thinks is getting released tomorrow?

 

Skimming through the September 2015 thread cuz I'm bored as hell and it does look like it came out on 9/9 last year.

 

Maybe that's why the crowd is lite tonight? Or maybe not as many Sap fans. Wish I could go. Sap is a great change of pace from the super juice bombs.

 

I just don't get sap. It reminds me of a west coast style ipa but I've had better west coast style ipas. Personally I prefer cone flakes. Its piney and dank but doesn't taste like a west coast ipa.

 

Anyone else get an almost "minty" flavor from Sap? I like it, but is it just me??

 

I've gotten a weird minty/toothpaste aftertaste from a number of IPAs and almost definitely at least once with Sap, but it's super inconsistent from can to can even in the same batches. Always chalked it up to weird tastebuds that day but maybe there's something to a mint flavor as a secondary characteristic of some hops.

Kind of unpleasant when it's popped up, but not nearly as bad as what I'd describe as the apple juice qualities that pop up from time to time (especially in less fresh IPAs).

 

I can see it. I think that's the fresh wintry pine.

I get some bubblegum.

 

I could see minty, although I thought it was much more delicate than the sometimes overly piney or harshly bitter West Coast style. Comparing it side by side with a true West Coast IPA and the contrast is gigantic, it really isn't all that piney at all by comparison.

The last few times I had Sap it had sort of a white wine flavor.

What a seemless last few days... Treehouse around 12:30 on Wednesday, maybe 20 or so people in line. Got to Hill Farmstead today a little early and was there by myself at 11:30 when they opened... For me... Maybe 10 people when I left around 12:20. Three cars in the lot at Alchemist at around 2:00. Walked out with max allotment.

After Labor Day pre leaf season is the time to go!

With a case on Friday, and if the second run is something big im thinking the opposite. You'll have many much more people coming out, leaving much less for SAT.
