    Shoot, I was used to the round stickers and then they changed to the square ones. Now this? Seriously that can is great. Hoping that they last till Friday. Assuming the DB patrol does not come in force on Thursday, with three changes of clothes a piece.

    To prevent people from voting more than once in the first Iraq election, voters were made to dip their right index finger in ink. Just a thought.

    Got a question and Id like the opinion of the Tree House experts who have visiting there a science. Their site lists 1.5 bbls left of Curiosity and Lights On. Does anybody have an idea of really how much that is or how long that could last. Would you have to be one of the first few in the door to ensure you got any? Any feedbacks appreciated.

    1.5bbl = 5952 ounces.

    As of the time I write this the site lists the limit on Curiosity 18 as 1 750ml and 2 2L (their "2L" growlers are actually stamped as 64oz). That works out to ~153 ounces per person assuming each person buys the max (which they almost certainly won't). 5952/153=38.9 so assuming every single person bought the max you would probably want to be in the first 35 or so to be sure to get some if you account for some beer being lost to overflows during fills and the ~1.5bbl amount not being exact. Based on my experience it will probably still be available for people much farther back in line though. Last week for example I had calculated that I needed to be in the first 40 to get Green if everyone was buying the max, but I wound up being 71 in line and I still got it. With Julius also being on tomorrow I would say that it is likely people will be spreading their 5 growler limit across the beers more evenly and not many people will be buying the max of any of them. It's also possible they lower the limits for C18 and Lights On tomorrow in which case the beer would last even longer.

    There will be a line about 90 people deep at 5pm when they open, but that'll move quickly - probably no more than a 5-10 minute wait for cans by 6pm. If you get there after 5, you're looking at 1.5-2.5 hours to get growler fills, and remember in MA they're only allowed to fill their own glass so be prepared to buy new growlers and wait quite a while for fills. Enjoy!

    Doing the quick math, they'll probably go through 200-250 cases tonight, drop the limit to 6pp for Friday, and have about 30 cases for Saturday open. PLUS whatever they can Friday or Saturday before open. Really awesome to see the bigger Julius run, the new cans, and all the construction progress at the brewery!

    Fewer things make me happier than seeing a 500 case run of Julius!

    Thanks for the data point. I got the same estimate but wasn't at brewery so wasn't about to gauge how good the "everyone buys max" estimate is. I wonder if doubling this estimate gives decent results for other beers or even for cans.

    Does anyone know if they are planning on brewing Lights Out and canning it again? Lights On has been brewed a bunch but I haven't heard any mention of Lights Out. I have been collecting the empty cans and even though I had Lights Out multiple times I somehow don't have an empty of that one.

    So I'm making my first trip to TH this weekend. I plan on being there for the opening to grab whatever I can. What time do I need to get there to be within the first 10-20 people in line?

    Thanks for the calculation! Any guesses about how that translates into optimal arrival time today? (Never gone on a Thursday so not sure how it compares to the weekend.)

    If you are only getting cans, I'd get there after 6:00. If you want growler fills, I'd get there as early as you can and be prepared to wait.

    I know the last couple weeks theyve been canning twice a week, be it Thurs & Fri or whatever, but seeing as this is a 500 case batch, is it safe to assume thats it for cans this week?

    Wow. Hopefully they allocate some of these cases to each night, similar to how they handled the large Julius run before the anniversary party.
