Tree House - Good Morning

Bad news is that it isn't a consistent seasonal. It shows up when they feel like it should, tied to whim and not any particular date.

Good news is it's a fan favorite. It'll appear again. There are other great Maple beers that they drop nowadays, too!

 

It hasn't dropped in years if memory serves correct. I think they've all but retired it because of the hype shit storm it would create.

In it's place they have a few new maple stouts that fill the void nicely... Impermanence and Persist (barrel aged)

 

Yea, no one knows if it will ever come back, but the other maple stouts are right in the same ballpark. While who knows if my taste memory of 5+ years ago is accurate, Persist tastes to me like the same thing with a touch of bourbon barrel. The others they've released to go are all milk stouts, but they're very similar as well with Moment of Clarity edging out Impermanence and Permanence in my opinion. You can't really go wrong with any of them.

Fwiw, I feel pretty confident GM is going to make it's long awaited return sometime in the next 4 months. They're still putting out 10th anniversary beers as recently as this past week, it would almost shock me at this point if Good Morning isn't one when the weather turns.

I think the world is afraid that when it does come out it could be a collective “that’s it?”

But, in all honesty, this would be a really cool experiment if Nate put it out exactly as it was so many years back and we all realized it’s just nothing special now with so many other accessible world class stouts and pastry stouts. Or if he flat out said I already did it under another maple stout name ha.

Or, if it is still mind blowing. Then kudos to him.
