Great idea. What are others thinking for transportation/lodging? Anyone have any experience camping nearby last year?

I bet that campground over near Dean pond would be a perfect place to bottle share after the event for those looking at camping there

Greetings potential attendees of the anniversary party! I am a local yokel and will gladly try and help answer questions / point you to information you can use for the event.

Camping: The closest campground is Patridge Hollow Campground, which is 5 minutes or so from the brewery. Their website hasn't changed at all in the past 20 years it's a decent little campground though, spent a lot of time there in my youth. They have a pool, which is nice.

The other campground nearby is Sunsetview Campground no first hand experience on this place, but I mean it's a campground in Monson so its going to be pretty quiet. They are about 8 minutes away.

Transportation: As far as transportation goes, some smart enterprising person may be around with Uber, but your best bet if you don't have a DD is going to be trying to find a taxi and making arrangements with them. Since I own a car I have no idea pricing or service, but here is a listing of taxis in the area: http://www.yellowpages.com/monson-ma/taxi-cab-service .

Food: Sturbridge is where most folks point people to, but I am going to give you a run down of what Monson has that I personally like. Beths is the only 'restaurant' in town. I mean they have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good food, large portions, low end price.

Second to that the Mug N Muffin is a great little breakfast place, cheap prices, large portions and the spot where the locals go for breakfast.

Your other options are Maria's Pizza (amazing grinders, decent pizza) or China King if you like cheap but tasty Chinese food. We ain't fancy out here.

All of these are on Main street because that's literally where all of our businesses are for the most part.

Westview Farm Creamery is right down the road from the brewery, great ice cream, amazing views of the sunset, goats that you can feed and watch do goat stuff.

Hiking: Lot's of good spots for short hikes. Connant Brook Dam is right down the road from the brewery, short walks through the forest with a neat dam to walk along. Brimfield State Forest and Dean Pond are also not too far from the brewery. Dean Pond is a nice relaxing spot where you can fish, and the Brimfield State Forest has a ton of trails to walk, bike or run on. The Keep Homestead Museum also

My favorite hike is by far Peaked Mountain. The place is just beautiful and the hike is a nice upward climb that levels out 2/3 of the way. The view is the best pay off. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Here is a place where you can get trail maps for most of the spots I have mentioned, hopefully it doesn't go to a pay wall: http://masstrails.com/monson.html

Stalling out for other info to provide, so if anyone has any questions let me know and I will do my best to answer them.

Thanks for the info TheBottleMuse. My wife and I will be coming off a weeklong camping trip in NH, but if others are camping out we may set up camp again.

It looks like Partridge Hollow is mostly an RV campground. We tent / hammock camp.

No problem, glad to help! Partridge Hollow is definitely more of an RV and camper campground, but they have tent sites as well so I would definitely check them out if you guys can stand another night of camping!

Yeah, I tent-camped at Partridge Hollow for the Anniversary last year and it was fine. Not deep woods or anything, but we got a spacious site without being on top of anyone else. And the walk to-from TH is very manageable.

One gotcha: At least our site did not have a grate for the campfire, so if you plan on cooking, bring a stove or something that you can stab a stick through.

Sunsetview looks better for tent camping from what I can tell from the websites but I'm tempted to go w/ Partridge Hollow as walking back to there will be a way easier pill to swallow if no uber/ride opportunities present themselves.

I'm really hoping juice machine/good morning/very green are some of the "additional" and "surprise" beers

Very excited about this assorted cask situation. Cask Julius was nice last year.

Did that dude on here who was really pissed about not getting tickets, get tickets? They released some at the brewery at one point.
