Let’s brew a desired beer and release it in extremely limited quantities on a holiday weekend when anyone local to any brewery travels.

    Hoodie is not happy.

On the bright side - nice to get back to the Fort Point tap room w/a happy crowd - and the little fried chicken sandwich is killer. The Swishium not so much.

Haha and looking through Untappd reviews that mention "lack of head," "hop oil burn," and "green," yet when it finally has a rating - it'll be well above 4 - possibly in the 4.5 range.

This unfortunately looks to be spot on. I'll never understand

I do like my fair share of Trill beers, enjoying a delicious BA German Cake Doughnut right now in fact! It's just the lack of self-awareness is puzzling, like Bissell beers are some of the most consistent out there and that is not a standard Trillium or most others will match.

I wouldn't consider Subby consistent at all. Thats Bissell's flagship beer too

I've found them very consistent with carb, aroma, appearance, baseline type stuff. But I recall recipe-wise they lost their way with Subby for a time there. Have there been any issues lately? Thought the Substance uproar was maybe 4+ years ago?

I've had Subby recently and it was good but have had inconsistent batches more recent that 4 yrs ago. Could be my palate but in general I wouldn't call it their least consistent beer in their lineup.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not knocking Bissell. I love just about everything about them (the beer, the vibe in the taproom and their general approach to supporting local businesses) but if I was to nitpick anything it would be Subby

One thing I’ve found hyper consistent over the years, is that opinions of BA’s will widely vary, and that should be ok.

Swishium seems to be par for the course in regards to hyped up Trillium Collabs: plenty of hop burn/carb complaints, plenty of "will be unbelievable in a week" comments, and enough 4.75-5 star ratings on Untappd (from folks that are just victims to the hype) to push it into 4.3 territory.

I wonder what the folks at Bissell (who I'm a big fan of) think?

By Untappd standards I think a 4.3 is a bad score for what this should've been, especially considering the hype

They have a longstanding friendship with the Tetreault’s so I bet they would talk about the beer. Are they just friends because they like each other or do they actually like each other’s beer? Is it strictly just a business relationship? Is there anything inherently wrong with the beer other than it just doesn’t meet ones personal tastes? Does the beer just taste like a Trillium beer?

Man... even with the negative reviews I still wanted to try Swishium so I was planning on swinging by Canton after work.... of course it's not even available on draft.

It’s still being checked in on Untappd in Canton. Where are you getting your information from?

I had looked at their Untappd list this morning but now it’s there. Perhaps I missed it, perhaps they added it. Either way, let’s see what the under carbed hype is about

What they should think is that they need to start making Swish year round...

They definitely could, don’t think they want to.

Should we expect public opening sometime next week? Really looking forward to post work bike rides there.
