I like it there. Order at the bar and then grab a spot outside or in. Even if it’s busy it’s not a big deal because the outdoor section is pretty big.

I was there during a Sox game a few weeks ago and even with all the outside tables taken there were tables inside and it was very easy to get a beer at the bar..With the bar side wide open to outside it's a nice feel wherever you sit, in my opinion.

Most of us that know the "old" Trillium have moved on, at least in my circle of friends. Every time I tentatively make a plan to check out the new Canton location, I end up bailing as I know there's a high probability I'll be disappointed in the beers.

I agree with others - they seem to be doing really well, good for them, but the buzz is definitely gone.

So you never go anymore, which is fine, but how can you comment on them as brewery in that case? The “vibe” you get from your friends?

Hoping to visit the Fort Point location during my work trip, unless there is any specific reason I should visit the Fenway location instead...? It's pretty much the exact same distance between me and both of options, although I could visit the Fort Point Market if I went to that location.

Not after anything in particular, but would love to try BA Affogato, and maybe bring home Coffee Cake.

The offerings to go at all locations are usually the same but check the website before you head over. I hit the Fenway location yesterday myself as I was a bit closer to there than FP. Check the can dates before you leave as the Nelson FPPA I was handed was 2 months old. They let me swap it out for the Mosaic FPPA though (canned 9/30/21). The days of knowing these cans are fresh because of crazy demand are long gone.

Good to know. I'll probably opt for whichever one has the stronger stout tap list day-of. I'm not interested in hauling home many IPAs since some locals to me are producing some great IPAs these days.

I'm assuming both have a full food menu though?

I did not order food but at Fenway I am pretty sure you go right next door to the Time Out Market if you want food. Fort Point would be the better location if you want to eat (and be served).

Ended up at Fort Point both Saturday and Sunday unexpectedly. Left FP around 3 Saturday and I can confirm there is no way on earth Trillium is hurting or that the BA crowd has any impact on it. That place by then was jammed, inside and out. There’s a crowd for them. It’s the non BA crowd. However, some of us here do still visit and enjoy it.

Sunday was also very busy but much more manageable around the same time.

Time Out Market is great. Love that place.

If the weather is bad I’d choose Fort Point. Fenway location does not have much indoor seating.

Honestly having the long wood blocks to sit out on outside of Fort Point is clutch when you just want a birds eye view and people watch the chaos. Or just some informal space to yourself

No, I'm still able to try their beers through friends. When you can get beer just as good if not better from breweries in my local area, makes it hard to justify the 30+ minute drive. I still want to check out the new location at some point, but that's my only incentive at this point.

Am I the only one who is perplexed by the lack of IPAs, and beer in general? Comparing Trilliums menu to Tree House is interesting, to say the least.

Yes, thank you for mentioning this. I am completely perplexed. I haven't commented on here in ages but have been inspired to troll through the whole post (and have seen a return of Sweatshirt... @Jbrews are you the original or a pale imitation!?) and haven't seen anything about this. Have they lost a brewer or two or are they having production problems? It seems that everything they're releasing is an old favorite or a re-boot. I did score Really Green Street which to me was uninspiring compared to the last batch, and it seems like there has been nothing new and interesting save for some highly overpriced stouts lately in ridiculously small bottles...

What, do you find something wrong with paying $22 for 500mL of TrillBOMB? An imperial stout that's not even barrel aged?

I'm glad I don't work ten minutes away from them anymore. I'd go back every few months saying "Well the beer WAS great, right?" and then i'd bring home a bunch of 4-packs that I'd have to push through.

Trillium spontaneous beers released for the first time today, $12 for what looks like a 500ml bottle. My expectations aren't crazy high but I'm pretty interested to try.
