Except even the guys at Trillium will tell you the beers are at their best 4-5 days after bottling and a bit raw the day of.

Ack...sorry man. It was actually a 1 gallon per person limit on these today. We had a bit of trouble w getting the racking arm to set without running yeasty/hoppy trub so didn't get the yield we had hoped for on growler fills unfortuately.

Sorry everyone...we always do our best, but sometimes things don't go our way :/

Ah, my mistake. I read it as 1 growler. I know you guys do your best to move the line and crank beer out. I was just surprised it went that fast.

R34 is a whole different place for me when trillium has something on tap. When it's a cask -- the place becomes all world.

I'll make sure to continue drinking them for the next 4-5 days, just to make sure.

Report back on the sweet spot. "4 days, 5 if the moon is waning"

Had a Mainer Weisse and Zure von Tildonk. I think that put's it into a top 1% of bars either way.

I will be up in MA (Norwood to be exact) this Friday - Sunday visiting some friends. I plan on hitting up Jack's Abby and Trillium on Friday (I have the entire day). I will probably go to Trillium first, so figure around 1pm. Is there usually a long wait around that time?

Honestly I went last night at around 5:00PM, expecting to wait in the cold and I was third in line. Shocking. Lots available but no tastings at this point.

Got the first Distro. yesterday at Redstone in Stoneham, trillium pale and farmhouse ale! YAY fresh beer, and keep cranking out those good beers so us suburbanites can stay in our 'hood without having to fight getting in to Boston!!

I have been going to Trillium almost since they opened and have never once had a sample - I think at this point, you can pretty much bet that just about anything they put out is going to be extremely tasty and on par with the stated style.

Some bottles hit both Urban Grapes and CBC Newton last night. Farmhouse, Melcher, FPPA at CBCN. Mettle and Heavy Mettle as well at UG.

I don't bother sampling either. Never regretted buying a growler. The annoying thing is when there is a line for growler fills and people skip the line to get samples and then order a growler without getting in the growler line. Those line cutters are turds.

Just got back from a quick run. Picked up a bottle each of Heavy Mettle and PM Dawn, as well as 8 tasting glasses to share these and other beers with friends at NYE. So glad to see them back in full swing!

Never seen that happen but it would really get my goat if I happened when I was waiting in line.

I'm confused my Dry hopped Galaxy Fort Point was perfect last night. How can it be better than perfect?

I'm either drinking an extremely dark Belgian Strong Pale or Sinister Kid. Can anyone comment on the color of the Broken Angel? I would assume its a pale yellow. Not complaining necessarily but I certainly would not have got a growler of it. Its a bit sweet and malty for my taste.

Broken Angel is pale yellow. Looks like you got a growler of Sinister Kid instead.
