    $25 for 3 4pks is reasonable when you consider the standard mule fee is +$10 per 4 pk. If I lived in PA I'd do it periodically

    From the activity and posts in a local FB group you’re apparently not in the minority. Lots of them placed orders this morning. Craft beer never ceases to amaze me.

    That is definitely NOT commentary on anyone buying Trillium. Lord knows I’ve spent silly money on things over the years.

    Looking at this from a beer traders point of view, it is pretty special. The shipping fee Trillium charges far outweighs the work involved to drive, purchase, negotiate, package, and ship to beer to another trader. Even if its once a month. At least thats my opinion.

    As an aisde, for any PA folks who like Aslin, I just placed an order for 12 cans. The shipping fee was under $12.00! Plus, I love their stouts and they are sold as singles. How cool is that? Single can stouts and shipping 12 cans under $12!!

    By brand they mean specific beer, like I'm only allowed to purchase 96oz. of Citra Cutting Tiles in a year. What the point of that is, I have no idea.

    To play devils advocate but it does benefit local breweries, a positive to me, as well not just distributors.

    New Jersey people may be more inclined to buy local now rather than give money to out of state businesses. Plus it cuts down on tons of wasteful shipping material. So I guess oddly in this case I may agree with this law :open_mouth: I can’t believe I said I agree with politicians.

    **just an opinion here but the whole shipping beer model is unsustainable from my view. Is it really worth it to spend so much extra money when there is so much good beer cheaper and closer to home? I mean how many people will buy via shipping in the long term? Maybe just me...

    PS. Knowing you haven’t had a beer since December I’m excited your so close to February. Home stretch!!!

    All are fair points and like I mentioned, I was just being an asshole. Politicians are there to listen to their constituents and if the loudest voices are asking for these laws then they’re doing their job(s) for the most part. I highly doubt there is a large number of people crying out for easier craft beer shipping laws and for brewing companies to allow food. There are bigger fish to fry.

    I agree on the shipping comment. I think I ordered Kane delivery once and I never did it again. It’s certainly a splurge thing for me, quite a lot of money to spend but it is very convenient and it helps people stay and home, which is important.

    I gotta say though, it’s not really that huge of a deal to me in this state. With how small NJ is, it is very easy to just travel 30 mins over the bridge to PA where I could (pre-COVID) have have a good brunch/lunch at a brewery and grab some beers to-go all in one swing. PA receives a pretty good chuck of tax revenue from my yearly beer and food spending. My point being, if they allowed shipping into the state (taxable) and at least allowed brewing companies to sell food (taxable), NJ would be making a whole lot more tax revenue form this guy. I don’t see how it would change my regular spending habits at Roger Wilco or Farm & Fisherman (restaurant). To be honest, last time I checked the state’s debt, they really need every penny.

    =================

    Thanks man! I’m really looking forward to it. I’m sitting on a mountain of beer at the moment. Can’t wait to have one!

    As with most things in life, the answer/truth probably lies somewhere in the middle. Maybe I’ll cya at Roger Wilco again someday in the near future lol. Cheers

    Haven’t had a Trillium beer in a long time. I forfeited the $25 and ordered 3 four packs. Now will I do it again soon? Probably not.

    Just placed my first order, mostly so I could get my hands on that "QIPA." Also Dot St. and the Blackberry/Plum Daily Serving.
