I'm heading to boston in ten days and was wondering if trillium has bottles available? Also what are some other good beer bar and store spots to check out?
http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/visiting-boston-guide-summer-14-edition.182136/ You can usually get bottles of Trillium stuff at the brewery these days.
Trilium does a great job with social media: their website, twitter, and facebook are always up to date on whats available and beers on-deck(under find our beer on their website). Row 34 is located right next door, while not a beer bar they have one of the more curated tap lists around and usually have something from Trilium on tap http://row34.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/WEB-Beer-Aug-13.pdf
Bees Knees is pretty good for bottles, and if you want something other than Beer try Drink right down the street from Trillium they make fantastic Cocktails....Yes trillium is worth the trip
@WeymouthMike is spot on that Trillium is awesome with social media. They are always giving updates on what's left, what's kicked, etc. Check here http://www.trilliumbrewing.com/wordpress_blog/beers/find-trillium-2/ for what's available now. Then check their Twitter as they usually post what will be available to start the day shortly before the open.
I just want to second that Row 34 is a great stop right next to Trillium. Great tap list and bottle list (Saw Hommage there few weeks ago if your looking to go crazy). And great seafood. A little more of a drive than walk is Social Wines in S. Boston, great bottle selection for the area.
Thanks for all the suggestions. Should be able to hit most of these places without the wife killing me.
Trillium is one of the breweries, along with Tree House, I'm most eager to check out. I'm going to Disney Presents The Lion King at Boston Opera House next month so I'm going to try and stop in before the show. Is parking a bitch for the brewery?
@Kramerwtmf Strange thing to post in a Trillium Brewing thread, but the short answer is no. NEBCO pulled out of MA a couple of years ago. The only way to secure some GB would be if a BA in Boston has some on hand to trade. Good luck.
Just be careful to get there early if you visit the brewery and want tastings. They stop serving them an hour before their official close time
