I first tried TRiNiTY Brewing a few years ago during GABF and I really liked their sour beers. 7 day and 365 day sour and some others were great. They have already hit Oregon (Portland) and are making their way to Washington (Seattle) soon. I am looking forward to trying more of their beers (Chocolate River) and if you have not tried them out yet get some:

A word from Trinity Brewings President,Jason Yester.
"At Trinity Brewing we not only brew the most "Artisanal Beer" in town, we also make huge efforts towards eco-sensativity. We custom built our pub from nearly 100% recycled materials! A number of our beers are even produced in large wooden barrels which previously housed wines or spirits. Whether reviving ancient traditions, or coming up with completely new ideas, our beer will always be challenging for your pallet. Reducing our carbon impact we source our raw materials as locally and as organically as possible. We believe it's important to develop personal relationships with the farmers who grow our food and an identity with our eco-region, bringing you the freshest ingredients possible and making our dishes from scratch. "Slow Food" is a phrase we use to describe our approach to dining. Our approach for sustainability continues with how we deal with waste. We personally recycle nearly all the glass, plastic, and metal waste we produce. Our food compost and spent grain from brewing is again re-used as we donate all of it to our friends at the organic Ketchum Family Farm. And if that's not enough, we encourage our patrons to live healthy. We host the "Soul Runners" group run every Monday evening and discount beers for everyone participating. We look forward to seeing you stop by, sharing a beer, and some conversation.'

I've had four or five of the beers in Oregon, still want to try Red Swingline. I know a lot of people don't like them but I've got nothing against Trinity.

Trinity is great. they did a rad even at Belmont Station pouring deconstructed versions of red swingline for free. A really cool educational moment. Brewmaster is a really nice guy.

That being said, price point is a bit on the high side for me to make it a habit.

I want to try the sour Pallet Jack they did with Barley Browns, but I'm guessing no WA distro and it will be gone before I make it to OR.

I thought the Swingline variants were really nice. I don't think they're that overpriced on a per/oz basis - I pay as much or more for 750s of other sours that are pretty much on part quality-wise.

It was ok. Sometimes the individual pieces are greater than the sum of its parts.

I don't have a running list, but I have not liked anything from this brewery. I recall a beer from falling rock in 2013 that was dumped after one sip. Your mileage appears to vary

Well put. I liked it, and was happy to try it, but I would've enjoyed a Pallet Jack or Red Swingline just as much. (Maybe even a little more, in the case of the Red Swingline.)

They have a lot of hits with me, but also a few bad misses.

Saison Man, Electric Cukumbah, 365 day sour, and Red Swingline are all fantastic IMO. Also, the honey bragget aged in bourbon barrels was crazy.

The dark sour, and the Passion sour/IPA were misses for me. I have also had a few "gusher" bottles which is disappointing given the price point. It sucks to lose half of the beer you just paid $9 for.

PS - The collaboration they did with Barley Browns was really interesting. I really liked the beer, but I couldnt drink more than 10-12 oz of it. Very sour and intense, and would probably melt my stomach lining if I drank more than one

This has been almost exactly my experience, although I liked Passion Swing more than you. I just wish it hadn't gushed and I hadn't lost most of the bottle.

I too am a fan of trinity and despite the price point I keep going back to them. I'd buy 3x as much if they were a couple bucks less. Red swingline is fantastic and I really enjoy the double swingline. I could drink those every day and be happy.

Speaking of gushing beers......is there a good way to prevent that from happening? I remember reading some tricks but searched and couldn't find it.

If it's going to gush, I don't think you can do much to prevent it besides opening it cold and not agitating it. Always have an overflow receptacle handy? I've been lucky to have experienced few gushers overall, so I'm never prepared. ISO someone to remind me anytime I'm about to open an Orval or Trinity bottle.

LOL.....literally just opened an Orval on Saturday and lost half of it on my counter. God damn that beer. So delicious, yet so volatile.

Ive had 2 Passion swings gush on me, and one red swingline. never had a problem with the 7 or 365 day sours.

Logsdon is also prone to gushers. I've been lucky with Peche n Brett, but have had multiple Seizon Brettas turn into beercanos.

I think a lot of the trinity hate has to do with some childish comments on twitter from their head brewer (he's got quite the rep around CO), high prices, and occasional gushers. That aside, I have always enjoyed their beers. Glad they'll be out in the Pac NW when I move out there.

Can't justify the price and I think by having so many beers on the shelf they actual turn customers away. I always scratch my head when I see them taking up so much shelf space at Belmont Station and wonder if they ever really move at all.

I was at this place opening day in Co Springs. Immediately impressed. I remember when TPS report was all the BA talk on the trade forum. I would like to see them in WA.

This crap won't sell. As red medicine indicated, I'd be shocked if it moves in Portland eithere. Mediocre acid designed to destroy your insides. Yeah, pass
