    Dear trinity,
11$ for a 375 ml session ipa? You've lost your mind Yester. I dont care how expensive passio. Fruit is, it aint worth these prices.

Put it back on the shelf for that price. Wasn't even close to what I'd pay for a session IPA. And to be totally honest, I buy a LOT of beer during the year and pay more then I should for a lot of it.

If you think he ever cared about the customer, you didn't see 750s of his IIPA for ~$32... Anna was $10 for a 750 at HF and much better than anything that has come out of Trinity (and just an average HF beer). Maybe it's not fair to compare breweries to Hill Farmstead, it's just nice to be reminded there's still people out there that aren't all about greed, in an industry that's supposed to be about bringing others joy... Not to mention Trinity's only world-class beer, or anything close to world-class, is Red Swingline.

EDIT: Not to mention Jason's response on here when I complained about that IIPA pricing was basically "customer's opinions don't impact our business decisions." Yea, obviously... because you don't care about the customer.

I should note Jason also addressed the pricing for the saisons/wilds in that post, but not the IIPA... We all get some beers are expensive to make, but then there's ridiculously priced IPAs. Instead of a price tag for those beers there should just be a picture of a middle finger.

^^ Couldn't agree more with Mark who coincidentally is 1 of the 4 members of our monster tasting group and we're well aligned on how we view beer.

I hate to say this, I'm absolutely done with these guys. If I posted a picture of the $13 disaster of a Passion Swing I just opened tonight, it'd make many of you be done as well. Carbonation bomb, followed by a full glass of floaties. No discernible passion fruits or even IPA really. Drainpour if I didn't pay what I did.

Sorry, Trinity...you're an over-priced, arrogant brewery...and folks are exhausted. I've had several really nice beers from you guys, but this is insulting.

I am suprised you bought one. I picked up a regulR red swing for $2 less and a couple of 5monks that have some barrel time and 5x the Ingredients for the same price.

Agreed. Never again. I loved the brewery when I took my girls to Pike's Peak and ate lunch there, but other than RS which is top tier, I have continued to advocate for them and try to justify the price, but this last run w them is it for me. They should be ashamed of this garbage... (And this is 4.1% beer talking, imagine if it was an actual beer I was drinking...the rampage I'd be on )

I did the math on this earlier today and now I really wish I posted it.

I basically came to the conclusion that after including cost of grain/hops, ABV, IBUs, wax, bottling, economy of scale, accounting for brewing differences (for instance less hops are needed for 4.1% ABV to get to 100 IBUs than it does for a 6.5% beer, and figured that the Session Swing was almost the same cost or less than Odell St. Lupulin. And seeing as you can buy a 6-pack of St. Lupulin (even on sale for $7.99) ..... Session Swing came out to 284-350% more expensive (that's 2.8-3.5x) the price (depending on if you get it for $3.99 or $4.99)... and you're getting 2/3 the ABV.

I'll stick with St. Lupulin thanks and add my own tangerine zest and coriander. I know, I know they are different beers, but made for a fun comparison since St. Lup is my 'sessionable 6.5%' beer.

I opened a Passion Swing last night, and I had the same exact experience. Gross.

I also had a similar experience with Passion being a gushing monster, but for the 1/2 beer I was able to drink I thought it was amazing. I understand where you guys are coming from as far as pricing goes though and I simply can't refute a lot of those statements, especially concerning Session Swing. However, I think overall there are a lot of other factors not being considered. To each his own though - I don't spend all my time and money at Trinity, but I do support them as a home grown local business and will continue to buy the beers I enjoy from them.

I understand that point and although taste preferences are taste preferences we don't need to quibble over if the dregs were good or not, but what gets me (and I think we're in complete agreement here) is that we paid $13 for half of a 375. That's $52 for a 750.

^^^ True story right there. It really sucks too because I was hoping it was just that one bottle and now I see everyone else having the same issue...

I'm a big fan of most of their beers, but I rarely buy them because of the price. In many cases it's actually cheaper to drink their beers at places like Stapleton and the Falling Rock than to buy the bottles.
I figured this was another dry hopped sour...seems odd that it seems to be the only one of these swingline variants that isn't.
IMO, like Crooked Stave, when they're on - their beers are as good as anyone's. The catch is that when they're not...you're out of quite a bit of $.

All of these session swings use the same grist as red swingline. They aren't wild and don't spend time on wood. The last one was $1 more than red swingline per bottle.

If you can find the passion swing on tap, I totally recommend it

There are 5 variants + Red Swingline, out of the 5 variants, only 1 is not wild and fermented in stainless, and that's the Session Swing.

I believe the rest are all variants of brett-only, brett-lacto, or lacto-only plus the passionfruit one, and they are one-off's so being $1 more than regular swingline makes sense. My only issue was the non-wild, low ABV session swing price.

Easy Swinger landed this week "Wild IPA" brett-only on french oak
