Coming over from Belgium end of october and want to know what to do during my free minutes there ... and whats the weather by then ??? Any beers that i really should look for ?
I'm more interested in what you are bringing here . Anything pipeworks will be good. You'll be catching the middle of pumpkin beers and the early beginning of stouts
I'm sure OP will be receiving many unsolicited IP trade offers For late Oct, weather should be cool & crisp (not yet cold hopefully). Maybe highs in the high to mid 50s and lows in the upper to mid 40s (That's like ~15 - 7 C range I think). Might get lucky with some nice weather. Late November on is when it usually turns into the frozen tundra around here.
I am assuming you are staying downtown? If so, I will share a few spots I normally recommend that are beer focused. Kumas Corner Piece Pizza/Brewery Lone Wolf Marias Packaged Goods As for releases I would check out Unsessionable by Revolution as it should be out by then, which is great.
Well at the moment there is : half acre/lagunitas/three floyds on the shedule and hopleaf/local option/map room and joe stone crab for a bite or drink so not sure if there are some hidden spots i have to cross before going to Cincinnati and New York after Chicago... biiiiiiig beeeertour on the shedule .... Well i bring some stuff with me but must say a lot is for the guys that take me around ... (Cantillon, 3F, westvleteren) thinking of taking a second suitcase with me because i want to bring a lot and take back home a lot (ipa's, stouts and all that)
Check out Dusek's, higher end small plates beer focused restaurant. One of my favorite spots in the city. Also, as someone else mentioned, Maria's Packaged Goods is an excellent beer bar. Old speakeasy style place with 100s of bottles (I think well over 400) and 25 or so tap offerings that are always top notch.
great call @beelzebubbles. I will throw in two other places for great food downtown. The Bristol and Gilt Bar.
