Right Proper, Jack Roses (Bourbon), and Churchkey. For bottle shops, P Street Whole Foods, Magruders, and Rodmans.
I had some good beer at Pizzeria Paradiso last time I was in DC.... it's not on the same level as Churchkey, though. I would definitely go there first.
I've had it on tap at whole foods but for cans you have to go to the brewery, you won't see it in stores.
Well that's unfortunate considering they appear to only be open on Saturdays and I'm there Monday to Thursday...
I've heard that sometimes you can pickup cans through the week at the brewery if you call ahead first. I can't confirm this, I think I may have read it on another thread here.
Its been a long time, but I have called ahead and then gone by DC Brau to pick up during the week (was working nearby and ccouldn't make it Saturday). Also, you can find OTWOA in stores. Its not always there, but it will be on shelves sometimes. There are a few places in MD that ooccasionally have it (Beltsville, Hyattsville, Greenbelt area).
You can also try Village Pump right at Greenbelt Road and Route 1. Or head down Route 1 toward the city and look for Franklin's. They also brew, but have a little shop that might have it if a batch has been sent out.
The brewery is open 9 to 5 weekdays to purchase cans and apparel. There is no need to call ahead, just walk in and tell them you are there for cans.
i work across the street from the greenbelt park, let me know if you want to share a beer or two during lunch!
Do you work in the buildings over behind the Cadillac dealer and the TGIF? If so, where are you finding decent lunch beers nearby? Or are just running into the city?
Precisely, I was thinking of bringing beers! Not a whole lot in the area. Silver spring scion or the rustico in Alexandria are my Long lunch bars
