I went up today to get a growler fill of Higher Standard, while waiting I tried a taste of a new beer called Dream of the 90s which is a coffee IPA. Was good, unique to me , never had a coffee IPA before.

May head up early afternoon tomorrow to get some growler fills and grab lunch.

In case any Westchester BAs don't know, Lazy Boy had a Peekskill event Friday night and still have a bunch of stuff on tap, including Higher Standard and Midnight Toker (as of this afternoon).

Crack of Dawn, a really nicely hopped black ale (drinks like a black pale) and Awesomesauce, a brett PA are on tap now! Both are definitely worth checking out. Get while the gettin's good

Excited to make my first trip on Friday! Hoping to do some hiking beforehand too in the Blue Mountain Reservation. Had Dream of the 90's last night at Double Windsor in Brooklyn and earlier in the year at a PB event here. Really enjoyable beer. While I have only had a few coffee IPAs, I thought the flavors in this one worked rather well together.

Hops and Harvest is Saturday, I cant attend that but just would like to hit the brewery to get a growler fill. Is it going to be a madhouse there? I am thinking yes and just rolling up to get a growler may not be feasible.

Peekskill event at Bierkraft tonight. 13 taps include Amazeballs, Awesome Sauce, and Shotgun Willie. Hopefully see some of you guys there.

Not to dissuade you, but recent events have convinced me that a crowd Saturday is likely.

I was bummed to miss Peekskill when I was in town recently but it was too jammed on a Friday night for a party of six. I enjoyed Birdsall's, however, and even had a bottle of Cherry Rye to ease the pain. :sunglasses:

It's on the field across the train tracks from the brewery this year so there is a lot more room than when they used to have the fests right on the street in front of the old location. There will definitely be a lot more people this year but I don't think it will be overcrowded. Really beautiful views of bear mtn and the hudson from the park, can't think of a better place to enjoy some awesome beers on a saturday afternoon

Went there Saturday. Parking was painful and the food lines were long.

But otherwise great beer from Peekskill and other NY brewers (Ommegang, Keegan, Captain Lawrence, etc.) and great views of the Hudson on a beautiful, sunny day.

I was there for a little in the late afternoon, but couldn't stay long because I had my wife and chittlins in tow. There were definitely some long lines (food and beer), but the beer lines moved along a pretty good clip. There was an impressive selection of food vendors, but we ultimately decided not to eat there because of the lines.

The two bands we heard were good, and you could not have asked for a better location or weather.

    We had a great time!

It was a great time, I gotta say though I was wrong.. I think there were just too many people for the food vendors to handle and they ran out of a few of the beers I had wanted to try pretty quickly. Better planning next year now that they know what the turnout will be like would definitely be helpful. Beautiful day in the park though, and the farmer's market was awesome.

    Thanks for update!

Wondering if their supply of beer is low because of this event, was thinking of going up there on Saturday but hoping they still have most of their beers.

I've had it. Great beer that kinda grows on you. And no, I don't.

Anyone who will be at PB tomorrow around 3:30 ish stop and say hello. Will be there with my 2 future brewing partners reminding ourselves the quality we hope to create/exceed. Look for the long haired old hippy wearing the maroon bandana, and lets enjoy a few together.

Awesome Sauce is a perfectly named beer, awesomely delcious. Crack of Dawn also is on, highly recommend. Amazeballs and Higher Standard aren't on, but Shotgun Willie is of equal quality and is fresh on tap now. Vaporizer is stupid yummy stout greatness. This was Sunday afternoon, so not sure about current lineup. Didn't try, but have always loved, Keegan Ales Black Eye, being poured from a guest tap.
