I know on Saturday they had the six that are currently listed, along with Maltballs, Amazeballs, and Tiger Mom. They also usually have 3 or 4 guest beers (the only one I remember is Troegs Hop Knife, and they had something a Weyerbacher Pumpkin Ale I think). But their list tends to change pretty quickly.

I also agree with checking untappd. A quick check now shows checkins on Sunday for Soft Pour Corn and Skills Pils.

Any one who visited the brewery recently or is planning to soon– what's the beer description of Soft Pour Corn? Via untappd, I'm seeing a harvest ale with smokey, peat-like notes?

I don't knw anything about it other than the untappd checkins... ratebeer.com calls it a smoked beer, and claims the commercial description is "Corn beer brewed for Autumn with our friends from Roberta’s in Brooklyn. Sweet smokiness from heirloom Mexican blue corn combines with resinous savory epazote. "

In general they do a really nice job with IPA's and Pale Ales, and their sours are usually good. This sounds "different" for them.

And I know somebody mentioned Dream of the 90's, but if they happen to have Wake Up Call available, that may be my favorite beer of theirs. Very coffee flavored...

Indeed, Wake Up Call is the finest non stout coffee beer on planet. Dream Of The 90's is amazing too, but Wake Up Call is the perfect name for their original, still best, coffee pale.

Making a day trip up to Peekskill soon during a larger trip to NYC. Any suggestions on other things (including non-Beer things) to do while in Peekskill or along that train line?

How easy is it to get from the train to Captain Lawrence?

There's a couple of other places in the Peekskill area within walking distance: Birdsall House 0.7 mi. from Peekskill Brewery & Gleason's 0.6mi. from Peekskill Brewery and 0.2 mi. from Birdsall House.

If it's a day trip, do either Captain Lawrence or Peekskill Brewery. CL is 19 mi. away from Peekskill Brewery and the nearest train stop from Peekskill is Tarrytown about 4.5 mi. away

Mill House Brewing in Poughkeepsie is on the same train line and a five minute walk from the station. Even nearer to train is Shatzi's, great German food and always a fine tap list. Better food and fantastic beer at Mill House though.

If you come on a Sunday you can stop at Beacon on that same train line, and there is a great farm market next to the station that hosts Plan Bee brewery tasting and sales (as well as great local produce).

Captain Lawrence is 10 min. cab ride from Tarrytown station.

They had Vaporizer back on a recent visit, a perfect beer for this colder weather. And I believe that they also put on Moscow on the Hudson a few days ago.

Cool, will be heading over tomorrow I think. Gonna pick up growlers of Higher Standard and Vaporizer, and enjoy a flight for sure. I know they both have gone up in price, but where in NY can you get fresh, local IIPA and Stout of that quality for less? Compared to what lesser ones cost by the bottle it is worth it.

Great trip up there today with my lovely wife. Shotgun Willie was excellent as well as Simple Sour and NYPA. Higher Standard kicked a couple of days ago. Excellent meal, pirogies were excellent as well as the sausage and cubano sandwich. Brandon awesome bartender and The Chief was in the house.

If anybody EVER sees Wake Up Call available, please post here -- I'm a big fan of NYPA and Amazeballs (and a few others), but I think Wake Up Call may be my all time favorite and it hasn't been around since last summer.
