Hmm, contemplating a trip up there Saturday. But still don't see Shotgun Willie on the menu. I wonder when this is going to show up? May wait until this hits menu before I go.

I may hit Singlecut instead, heard their DIPA is really good.

I too await Shotgun Willy and Simple Sour for my next visit. Hope both are up soon. Would love to plan it to meet some BA's I've yet to meet, like the original plan of this. Let's keep the info flowing, and maybe we can do this yet.

I was there on Friday (thoroughly enjoying Amazeballs) and was told that simple sour is probably a few weeks out. They also added a blog section to their website and they indicate that they will have a pilsner available this week. If I'm recalling correctly, I think it was described to me as a hoppy pilsner.

Just wanted to bump this thread as Jeffboyardee and I are going to Peekskill this afternoon if anyone wants to meet up and party with us. Amazeballs by itself is a good enough reason to hit them up, and I have to get some growlers for a cross country voyage. Time has yet TBD, so post here and I will check through the morning and we can set a time good for us all.

Enjoy, I am hitting Singlecut. Will try Peekskill once Shotgun Willie shows up. Hopefully there is a day when Amazeballs and Shotgun Willie are both there.

Mmm, Singlecut, hope they accept their invite to TAP, really want to try them.

Also interested today in tasting Hop Common on the new system at Peekskill, and their new Pilsener, as well as Eastern Standard done with new system, and I do enjoy their Berlinere Weisse. Shotgun Willy, though, is their best beer I've tried so far, can't wait for its return. Amazeballs is a very close second, though.

Semi-relatedly for any folks who don't mind traveling for good things, Sloop is at DeCicco's Brewster, this coming Fri., and they are cracking something special, their take on a Cherry Sour, as well as all their delicious regulars. New York Brewing 2013, gotta love it, man.

I hit Singlecut today. Cool place. Was jam packed. I had the Full Stack DIPA , really nice smell, good taste, really good beer. Growler fills out of control though, $26 at the brewery is obscene. Looks like they are doing well, plenty of people in there drinking and buying growlers.

My point exactly in the Singlecut thread. Speaking of, I was at a growler place today which was offering Singlecut single ipa for $14. That is $2 less than at the brewpub. How can that be? Seriously, they should rethink what they are charging for their growler fills for an in house product when you can get the same thing cheaper going to a bar/growler station. Just does not sound right to me. Other than that, the place looks very good.

The pours were expensive too. $8 for a 13 oz pour at the brewery is a bit much. The beer was good, not great. I am offended by the prices.

Back to Peekskill. Thoughts on Skils Pils for anyone who had it? I thought it was an outstanding addition to their lineup... hope it becomes a regular. Pretty aggressively hopped for a Pilsner, but mighty tasty!

Sad side note. I had the bottom of a growler of Amazeballs bust out in my driveway today... I almost cried. If I'm being honest I may have cried a little.

Also no ETA on Shotgun Willie.

Really nice bit of smoke in the skills pils I thought I tasted, very clean lager, nice tart bit of bite, and spice of the noble hops was great. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Chief's the man. Truth told I wanted a bit more out of Eastern Standard, thought it was, well, standard. Had the Berliner, I have been a big fan of it, have one or more glasses every time.

Sorry to hear about your Amazeballs, second PB mishap I have heard today, Jeffboyardee123's balloon broke on the way home yday. I have a growler of Amazeballs in fridge supposed to be going to Oregon. Key word there is supposed, I can hear it calling me haha.

I saw on the Peekskill website that double standard is also on tap! March can't come fast enough for me to get down there. Mark my words, chief is going to turn Peekskill into one of more highly sought after breweries of 2013. Dang I miss that guy!

That's perfect. I'm heading up on Saturday for lunch with my wife. Happy as heck that Simple Sour will be on tap!

Do you know if they'll do growler fills of it?
