Anybody gonna be there around 4:00 today, stop and say hello. I will be there with Johnnie Snappletent, sadly not drinking :slight_frown: Picking up beers for friends:slight_smile: I can drink a ginger ale though and have a couple 2 oz. pours.

They had Amazeballs when I was there yesterday. I lucked out and got a tulip of Higher Standard too...

They had Amazeballs. Best bet would be to call and make sure they are still not having problems with the taps. When I first got there, I saw some refrigeration repair guys coming in, in hindsight i now assume they were there to fix the problems.

Taking my first trip to Peekskill tomorrow after going up to Rushing Duck (also my first visit) and some hiking in the nearby parks. Any consensus on what the must try beers are? Do they do flights so I can sample a bunch of stuff?

Try as much as you can, they do flights. For me Amazeballs and Higher Standard are the must haves. Bring growler too, on first floor they have the machine to fill growlers.

It's real nice to be able to say "I remember when" about a place. I'm referring to being at the first location down the road about a month or so after they opened. The beer was so-so at first, got better, went so-so again and then Chief took over and look where they are now - probably a destination brewpub for many BAs.

Still having refrigeration problems, no CP growler fills, and the tap room wasn't open at 4:00, they were serving from the 2nd floor bar. Hopefully they will be back up and running soon, but no one was any too sure when that would be.

I'm heading there tomorrow. Any updates on their fridge problems?

Also, are Higher Standard and Vaporizer available? Looking forward to those two specifically.

Not sure on the equipment, but it appears based on beer menus that they "only" have 0 of their beers on right now. That is low for them. Both Amazeballs and Double Standard are not listed (updated yesterday). Plenty of good beer still, for sure.

Higher Standard and Vaporizer are on the list.

Fridge issues were fixed but sadly the Amazeballs and Higher Standard taps were kicked.

    Vaporizer was quite tasty though.

Think I saw this covered in there, but I'll ask anyway.

They'll fill any growler, be it another brewery or a place like Whole Foods, or do you have to have one with their logo on it?

Headed up there at the end of the month. Just wanted to know before hand. I have too many growlers as it is. No need for another one

Any growler should be fine. Also, you can split a 64 oz one in two 32 oz ones. Call ahead of time to see what they have available. They've been short on many things and might not be worth it...

For any NYC kids, Barcade is doing a Peekskill night Thursday. Tap list on their website.

Change of direction for this thread: I'm wondering if anybody who lives close to the brewery could recommend a hike of several hours in the general vicinity of the brewery. I'm thinking I may take a trip up sometime soon and do some hiking in the morning followed by some drinking in the afternoon/evening. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest going up Anthony's Nose, it's a short hike but the views of the hudson valley are really awesome and it's no more than 3-4 miles from the brewery. There are some longer trails, including the AT, in the area but this one is my personal favorite.

I filled a Dock St flip top there with no issues.

Thanks. That's exactly what I was looking for. Short hike is no problem - the girlfriend will certainly be happy about it. We're more serious about our beer than our hiking.

Also, Blue Mountain reservation is only a couple of minutes away. I have never hiked there, but I have mountain biked there a few times.
