Fellow BA's Heading to South Haven this weekend for my son's bachelor party. Doing a brewery tour at Bells and plan to pick up a keg there. Driving past Greenbush. Even though we get both in Chicago, anything on interest at either place now that might be hard to get back home? Any places to buy beer or good bars in South Haven? All help appreciated! Cheers!
Greenbush is great because it's a stones throw off the highway.. I work in South haven and The depot is the best bottle shop that might be able to get you kegs.. also the south haven Meijer has the best beer selection then any Meijer north (holland,gh,muskegon) I haven't been to the Livery in benton harbor yet but everything I hear about them is good.. it's just not that close to the highway.. Saugatuck brewing just north of SH is soso.. if you go that far might as well go to holland.. also New Holland is having a Hatterday event on their patio this weekend starting at 3.
Village Market in South Haven (269-637-1307) can supply kegs of most Bell's varieties. They need about a 2-day notice
Thanks all - got a keg lined up from Greenbush. Will I find Odd Sides bottles in South Haven? Hope so. Completely forgot about the Livery. Will have to drop by there too. Gonna look into Shoreline as well. Might as well make this a mini beercation!
Definetly should find some oddside Citra in SH. I'm gonna be @oddside on Saturday (because I can't fnd any Grapefruit wheat in Holland anywhere) lemme know if ur around monday Ill pick whatever up for u at the brewery..
