I am making a trip to Toledo, but will be staying in Maumee. Is there any good bars, pubs, or stores to visit while I am up there?
Swig in Perrysburg and Maumee Bay Brewing in downtown Toledo are must stops. The Attic in downtown Toledo has a good tap selection, but the crowd could be douchey depending on the night. The Andersons in Maumee is a good stop for bottles. The Village Idiot in Maumee has several good taps, and it's a cool venue to drink, eat their pizza, and check out some music, depending on your tastes.

Love the Villiage Idiot / swig not so much Idiot is open at about noon & has GREAT PIZZA! about 7-9 good taps & in the afternoon $3 pints & a lot of bottle choices . Place gets insane busy at night tho . Really nice friendly people hang there of all ages.
I will second most of these: swig, the attic on Adams, maumee bay brew pub, and maumee andersons for bottles. There's a new bottle shop too at the Oliver house (connected to maumee bay brewing).
Any Andersons stores, Maumee Bay Brew Pub and Swig! Maumee Bay Brew Pub has $3 pints during happy hour for most of their beers.
Staying in Maumee I'd suggest stopping by the Andersons for a bottle selection and a cool store in general. For dinner I cannot recommend Swig strongly enough. I can't believe I waited as long as I did to go there. Their tap list isn't the biggest I've seen, but it is one of the best chosen I've seen anywhere. Maumee Bay Brewing is a cool place to stop too if you get to downtown Toledo. Food's a bit more expensive but it is high quality, and their brewerania collection is pretty cool to look at too.
I was going to start a thread about the shop in Maumee Bay Brewing. It's run by Matt from the Beer and Wine Cave. I haven't been there yet to check it out, but plan to stop tomorrow after work. Probably the only place downtown to buy decent beer and wine?
As far as I know, you're right that this would be the first and thus far the only good bottle shop in the downtown area. For some reason I was thinking Matt had said Friday, but it's confirmed that the store had a soft opening yesterday. I know for a fact it'll be worth checking out.
