I couldn't put it better. That's the kind of beers I enjoy the most too.

As for your triple fever, I also must agree.
I love the style, and the beer that fully convinced me to learn about beer and take it more seriously was a Maredsous Triple.

I've loved all the Tripels I've tried, but my highest rated is this:[IMG]

Since I love spicy Tripels, my top 4 as of now would be:

    1) St Bernardus
    2) Chimay White
    3) WestMalle
    4) Tripel Karmeliet

I love a Ommegang Rare VOS (not Tripel) as a warm up followed by a few Tripel Karmeliets. I think these beers compliment each other well.

Oh man, tripel is my favorite style. I think at first I was attracted by the mildly fruity sweetness and the extremely smooth and creamy texture of the best examples of the style. Even now, pear is my favorite thing to find in a tripel's flavor profile.

I'm trying a new tripel tonight, in fact (Four Winds Triplicity). Let's check the ol' review list to see my highest rated:

    1. Tripel Karmeliet (natch)
    2. De Dolle Dulle Teve
    3. Allagash Tripel
    4. Boulevard Long Strange Tripel
    5. Val-Dieu Tripel

I am kind of shocked not to find Fin du Monde in my top 5. I've got 119 tripels reviewed, though, and I rated some of these a lot higher than their average.

Tripels are super nice. Not ridiculously familiar with the style though I have been intending to get better with them.
I think thus far Karmeliet has been my favorite. I appreciate the lists you guys posted, will check out some of these others here.

Westmalle would be "go to" Tripel. Not only is it world class, but it is C$3.40 a 33cl bottle where I live (or $2.55 US). Hard to beat that. Maredsous 10 and Charlevoix Dominus Vobiscum Tripel are really nice too.

La Fin du Monde is one of the best I've had, for sure.

Westmalle defines the style so strongly, all other Tripels seem off to me. I grab a Westmalle as a substitute for a Pilsner when I want something bigger.

Dry, hop forward, alcoholic, slightly vinous, but not too fruity. Best around 6 months. My batch of Westmalle is about one year old, and it's no longer at its peak. Some signs of oxidation are starting, and it has become too sweet.

I'm a Westmalle Trappist Tripel man myself. Good price, great beer, accessible basically year round. Can't love it enough.

Huge Belgian fan in general but Tripel is my favorite of all. It really was the gateway beer to me. Easy to drink, always bubbly and fruity, and a hint of sweetness. Blew my mind for what a beer could be like.

Tripel are my favorite style. I love the balance between the malts, fruity esters and delicate spice. It is a very refined style. That was a short response, as I could carry on all night. Westmalle, La Fin Du Monde, Allagash Tripel, Allagash Curieux, Tripel Karmeliet, St. Bernardus, Corsendonk, Gouden Carolus, La Trappe, St. Feuillien, Chimay, Ommegang Tripel Perfection, Affligem, La Rulles, Urthel, Val Dieu, Staffe Hendrik and many more are always at the ready with no lines and no short supply. La Fin Du Monde is my go-to. World class, right price and I can find it at Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. God bless Belgium. And Canada. Thanks @SkipZ for posting. Cheers!

There are several which I consider myself a fan of, though my favorites are all Belgian. I'm sorry, but most American interpretations just don't compare
