Really the dude was/is good. I have heard so many different things about it that I just couldn't pull the trigger. The force on the other hand was great and this one sounds very interesting and I agree I better taste some salt. Cheers

The Dude was delicious, as was the BA Up All Night. I was really bummed for some of the people that opened those two beers several months after they came out. I read on here some said it had gone bad. I'm definitely going to get a couple bottles of this beer on Saturday. Those two beers, fresh at least, were some of my favorite beers I've had all year.

Up All Night and BBA Up All Night were very good! They just starting canning a couple of their brews.

I read about issues with the Dude, but never heard anyone say anything about having a bad bottle of BA UAN.

This article specifically mentions the addition of a mill room. I assume they're doing that to address the infection issue with The Dude Imbibes.

Oddly, I opened a bottle of the The Dude about 2 weeks ago and it was perfect. Not even a hint of infection.

I got an infected Dude and my trading buddy got a really infected Dude. Mine had just started to go bad but I kept it in the fridge from day 1. Was getting quite tart and didn't taste at all like the fresh bottles. I drank about half the bottle but that was it. My buddy said his completely infected and was a full drain pour. Said it tasted like metal and was really tart. He hadn't kept his refrigerated.

I did however have 2 good bottles fresh and it was glorious. Triple C is making good on the infected bottles though so no hard feelings here.

@CavemanRamblin Whoops, you're exactly right. I was stuck on how great both of them tasted fresh that my mind accidentally lumped them together when I said they've both had problems with some age. I think it was just The Dude that has had some problems. Thanks for the correction.

The pretzel is a great beer. Salt is definitely there but light on the bourbon. Not as sweet as ba uan or dude, which i like. Definitely one to seek out. Brewery is alive and full of excitement. Another great beer triple C!!!

Busy was an understatement. Biggest crowd I have seen there on a drab Saturday! Pretzel was very good but I the Boozehound DIPA colaboration stole the show for me.

The bourbon from that Chocolate Covered Pretzel Stout was pretty subdued. It was thin, but still tasted great. I had the Boozehound last weekend at Sycamore, and that too, was great. Both definitely worthwhile of trying.

Solid beer, nothing special, from Triple C.

Not good enough to buy bottles, but if I see it on Tap, I'll likely order it

Yep, had both and thought they were excellent. As others have mentioned, both the salt and bourbon were subdued in the Chocolate Covered Pretzel Stout, but noticeable. I think it was a really well done, balanced beer.

Not surprising. The Dude never really had good hygiene. I believe he showered once a week.......and that was above and beyond.

Where did you hear about this? I personally did not drink one that was infected because I drank mine fresh but I traded two to a good trading friend and he said his were in fact infected and another friend from a totally different part of the country said the exact same thing about the Dude. Just wondering. I had not heard anything to this extent. Maybe if you go to the brewery with an unopened bottle?

The owner posted in the Dude thread to contact him if you got an infected bottle. I traded my one opened infected bottle and another unopened bottle for two new releases at the brewery. That's the way you deal with a problem beer, not send a glass or tshirt.
