Had Poor Icarus and Falcon Smash last Tuesday. Both were good, but those fellas gotta figure out a better way to provide water to their customers other than two water fountains.

Weird. The last time I was there (few weeks ago on a Friday) they had a large water cooler with cups inside at the end of the bar as well as one outside near the tables.

I asked one of the bartenders for water while sitting at the bar and he said they only have hot water behind the bar to hit the water fountain so maybe that was the only option that day.

Can Jam Beer List is here and details about the festivities tomorrow in Fulton at noon. There will be some rules to how Can Jam will be operated, so please read these in advance of coming to the brewery Friday:

    1) Tickets, which will be exchanged for cans, can be purchased upon arrival at $6 per ticket. Only 3 tickets can be purchased at a time. You can get in line again to purchase 3 more, if so desired.

    2) Each ticket may be exchanged for one brand from one brewery at a time. For example, you may exchange all 3 tickets at once, but it must be for 3 different beers from 3 different breweries. We've done this to ensure that as many guests as possible have the opportunity to try out a wide variety of breweries and their beer.

    3) Any cans you receive will be opened by our server upon ticket exchange. There are no exceptions to this rule.

    4) Absolutely no outside beer will be allowed on Triple Crossing premises.

Mesa - Our Hoppy Table Beer featuring Cryo Simcoe at 4.5% ABV. Bright and citrus forward blonde ale and extremely palatable. The cryo provides a very bright, zippy and creamy mouthfeel with notes of pithy orange rind and citrus.
We are shooting for 140 cases at $12.50 per 4 pack (1 case limit) @ Fulton Only

The Grid - The hop aromatics of Grid have the high probability of making your nose twitch with satisfaction. Soft bright tropical notes intersect with a small amount of dankness rounding it out. Notes of passionfruit, guava, mango and peaches. We doubled down on two of our favorite hop varietals Mosaic and Falconers flight for this return offering.
We will be shooting for 220 cases at $17.50 per 4 pack (1 case limit) @ Fulton Only

Proximity Project: Blackberry Sliced - Our oak fermented golden sour ale base refermented on a deliberate amount of Blackberry puree. Add a 4th new beer coming Friday, 8/24, as well. This one draft only.
    _________________________________________
Young Foeder Beer - 5% ABV
After tasting through several notable samples at various mixed fermentation altars throughout Brussels, we knew we wanted to offer a further look into our oak aged mixed culture program. Young Foeder Beer is fully fermented mixed culture golden sour beer pulled fresh on Friday from our American Oak Foeders. We will be serving it still, zero carbonation, and slightly chilled in 4oz pours with the goal of allowing the opportunity to sample young sour beer that while not fully ready, gives an insight into a process often shrouded in the unknown. Tasting notes of earthy funk and citrus lactic tang.
We will have limited amounts blended on Friday morning and poured at both breweries until it runs out.

I’m excited that they’re canning the hoppy table beer, that’s a draft go-to favorite of mine.

How have the latest releases of their wild beers been? The first few iterations were too sour/vinegary for me, has that been dialed back at all?

Far Fields 5% Warehouse Ale - This beer, born in a warehouse dating back to the 1960’s Fulton Hill neighborhood of Richmond VA, was not brewed in a farmhouse. Rather than attempt to infer any bucolic notions about this simple beer, we felt you should know exactly where this thing came from. This familiar Wallonian style ale begins with a grist of pale and wheat malts. It was co-fermented with that most classic yeast strain from a small village not far from the Belgian/French border, and a Brett strain derived from a lauded Lambic brewer just outside the city of Brussels. Intentionally fermented open and hot with an assist from the sweltering southeastern summer warehouse conditions, this beer was designed to encourage every ounce of fermentation character possible. Lastly, the 750ml bottle you’re holding was refermented to an elevated level of carbonation to enhance its crisp drinkability and aromatic delivery. No need to cellar this one, although it likely would survive it, much like the historic style that helped to inspire us, despite being Far from any Field.
$12.00 per 750ml per bottle and will be sold at both breweries this Friday

Citra Triangle’s 6% All Citra IPA
    - Soft, dank, yet tropical notes of guava, pungent peaches, oranges and nectarines.
    $14.50 a 4 pack (1 case limit). Shooting for 100 cases

DDH Clever Girl 6% IPA - Mosaic and Citra take a front seat on this one with pungent notes of citrus rind, orange and mango due in large part to the massive second dry hop. Incredibly soft and creamy mouthfeel finish off this raptor.
$16.50 per 4 pack (1 case limit)....No mention of case count

The Proposition 8% DIPA returns just in time to keep you company during the impending storm. Appropriately hopped with Galaxy and Nelson on this one. Notes of super soft chardonnay grape, touches of bright dankness with tropical fruits providing the majority of the presentation.
We are shooting for 200 cases at $17.50 per 4 pack

Green Dreams (w/ Citra, Vic Secret, and Amarillo) 8% DIPA – Our ever rotating DIPA makes its return featuring Citra, Vic Secret, and Amarillo. In addition to the hop varietals, we subbed in an experimental yeast blend to take us even further down the rabbit hole of what yeast and hops can do once they’re forced upon each other…as it were. Pouring in the traditional parlance of our time with its pale haze, we taste kiwi, lime citrus, and hints of strawberry with an almost vanilla cream silk like finish. Enjoy our experimentation into both the familiar and slightly unknown.
We are shooting for 200 cases at $17.00 per 4 pack

How have cans of Falcon Heavy been? I picked some up today and opened the first one tonight and it poured a little darker than expected and the aroma/taste are pretty dull and mellowed. Really hoping its just a bad can because it definitely seems to be showing early signs of oxidation.

Would be bummed if I got a bad batch for my first Triple Crossing brews.

Haven’t seen any complaints about bad cans on the TC FB group, maybe/hopefully it was a bad can? That being said, personally Falcon Heavy is probably one of my least favorite beers from them, so I can’t say for sure how it’s tasting.
