Good to hear, I hop it was just the can. Just curious, why is Falcon Heavy one of your least favorite?

Probably to clarify I’m a big fan of most of their DIPAs so not that’s it’s bad, just not as high ranking as most of the others for me. It so happens last time I had FH, it was a little sweet for my preference. Still a so-so TC dipa is better than a lot out there.

Waxing Poetic Berliner with Dragon Fruit and Passionfruit - Our Waxing Poetic base Berliner goes full on fuchsia with measured additions of both incredibly elusive and difficult to source dragon fruit, and passionfruit puree. Expect it to pour like red Dex-Cool and deliver impressions of dry pulpy like passionfruit and a delicate earthy subtle sweetness. For that list bit of summer weather that won’t let go, this one feels just right.
Shooting for 200 cases of at $19 per 4 pack

Division Order 8% DIPA returns with its original blended hop cocktail of Amarillo, El Dorado, Galaxy, and Simcoe. On the original batch, we opted to ferment that beer with a different than usual for us expressive English Ale yeast. For this batch we put our house ale to work to see what our typical fermentation character would do when in close quarters with those hops. We smell and taste deep fresh squeezed orange juice, green tropical fruit, and white peach ester aromatics. Our house ale strain and water profile bring it all home with that softness and plushness we constantly strive for in our hoppy beers.
Shooting for 200 cases at $17.50 per 4 pack

Signature Move is an 8% DIPA art collaboration with our friends at Hue&Cry and features Denali, Enigma, and Mosaic. White tropical southern hemisphere grape and pineapple like aromas lead into soft candied citrus rind pineapple and fleshy apricot flavors. Experimentation with some of these newer hop varietals now available to us are getting worked into our established hoppy beer profile…kind of like a signature move, as it were.
Shooting for 200 cases at $17.50 per 4 pack

Planning on being in the Richmond area next friday (10/19) and thinking about swinging by the brewery to check it out. Are there can releases every Friday or only certain weeks?

Sometimes they release back-to-back weeks and sometimes every other week. Nothing releasing today so I would be confident that they will release some next week.

Dawn Chorus 8% DIPA makes its return featuring Citra, Vic Secret and Galaxy to double down on its layers of fruit forward hop and yeast derived character. Bright citrusy melon, pineapple, and a slightly dank undercurrent culminate into our signature super soft DIPA body and feel.
We are shooting for 195 cases at $17.00 per 4 pack (1 case limit)

All Neon Like 6% IPA is back with heavy handed doses of both Galaxy and Vic Secret for impressions of saturated floral pineapple with citrus zest wrapped deep within a 6% abv foundation. Highly drinkable and easily one of our most unique hoppy beers.
We are shooting for 140 cases at $15 per 4 pack.

Anyone in NOVA on Friday, Ocelot is also releasing a can that Triple Crossing helped collab on for their first ever Triple Can Release. Love the cause of this beer. And so many killer breweries were part of it. From Ocelot's fb page...

Every year more than 350 million people around the world deal with depression no matter their race, gender, age, religion, or political beliefs. Almost 7% of the US adult population experience clinical depression in a given year and around 40% of them don't seek help.

Depression is especially prevalent in the alcohol industry and is an issue that's very personal to us here at Ocelot.

That's why we decided to get together with some of our friends from around the east coast to collaborate on a beer and donate 100% of the can proceeds to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America.

So our THIRD and FINAL beer for this Friday's TRIPLE CAN RELEASE will be Lean on Me, a 9.1% Motueka/Citra Double IPA we brewed with:

    - Civil Society Brewing
    - Aslin Beer Company
    - Finback Brewery
    - Barreled Souls Brewing Company
    - Dancing Gnome Beer
    - RAR Brewing
    - Triple Crossing Beer
    - Charles Towne Fermentory

The ADAA is a Maryland based, international non profit organization dedicated to the prevention, treatment and cure of anxiety, depression and their related disorders.

If anyone you know is suffering from depression or anxiety related disorders please urge them to seek help.

    1 case limit per person

Okay so I’m not at all mad at this, how can you be - its for charity, but COME ON there’s no way NINE breweries actually worked together to brew this beer. I think that’s a great example of how meaningless the word “collaboration” can be, its just too bad its a charity brew from one (or nine!) of my favorite breweries.

Same thing came to mind when I saw the post earlier in the week. I even looked back through their social media feeds to see if they had posted a picture of when the other 8 were in town as breweries typically do when they work on a beer together at a brewery. Definitely cannot be upset since it is for a fantastic cause but I agree with your thoughts. Probably traded a few emails with most of them. Possibly a phone call / Skype session. I would be curious to know more on how all 9 worked together on this. The beer looks fantastic from the pic and there's definitely a lot of weight with all those killer breweries stamped on the can.

Ivory Tower 8% DIPA returns with a proprietary cocktail blend of hops that we aren't going to talk about… Notes of deep floral-esque citrus, sweet kiwi, and peach decked out in velvety like softness from our house ale yeast. Entirely too drinkable for its stature.

4 Can / 1 Bottle Release coming up on Friday 11/2. Noon @ Fulton. Anything that carries over will be available Saturday during East Coast Covenant, which is a free event to attend.

No mention of case counts (yet)

    - Interstellar Burst DIPA 8%

    - Falcon Smash IPA 7%

    - Nectar and Knife 8% DIPA - Finally making its return, our first ever DIPA. Hopped and dry hopped extensively with Simcoe and her daughter Mosaic for that signature bright, grapefruit pulpy zest softness with zero bitterness.

    - Galaxy Triangles 6% IPA (DEBUT)
    - Our latest entry into our intensely focused IPA series continues with Galaxy. As with all of the Triangles variants, we employed an increased overall hopping rate of arguably one of the most unique varietals ever. Along with flaked wheat, flaked oats, and malted wheat we notice crushed pineapple tropical passion fruit character that is threaded into our house ale’s trademark citrus fruit while enhancing ester profile and softer than 10 ply plushness. Highly recommended, and as always, 6% ABV.

    - Never Goes Out 5.5% (DEBUT) - Mixed Culture oak fermented blended golden sour. Our golden sour, left to rest for an average of 12-14 months, bottle conditioned for 4+ months has finally settled into its own. With a focus on both refreshing tart acidity and deep fruit tones culminating into something that is just as easily consuming of all the attention in the room, and then forgotten about when shared with good company. We taste deep citrus oranges, tart nectarine, white grape, and a delicate lactic lemon like acidity with hints of rustic brett character.
These are 500ml bottles at $13.50 per bottle and will also be on draft

I believe they all were present for Dank Day that RAR put on in Cambridge, MD...so they may have taken a minute on Sunday or Monday to go to Ocelot and "help" on this beer.

Same here. It was pretty laid back as opposed to people ticking every beer. I just targeted some of the more interesting offerings. Kept things flowing.

Glad to hear everything worked out well. Did J. Wakefield end up coming? I don't remember seeing TC post about them when they were announcing the beer list.

I think they did, I stopped by about an hour before the event was over and saw their name on one of the stations but they didn’t have any beer available at that time.

I hope this was a sucessfull event from TCB’s perspective, it was nice to be able to drop by without committing a bunch of money to tickets or a day to drunkedness.

I thought the wood-aged dark lager and the galaxy triangles were both really good.

passing thru Richmond on Thursday, and hope to stop in here, and hopefully the Veil as well if time permits... quick question - are cans offered as singles, or do you have to buy full 4-pks... I know most places are 4 pks only up by me (NY/NJ), but up in New England its pretty common to buy singles...

also are the odds pretty good for can availability (IPA's primary interest) pretty decent on a Thursday afternoon evening?
