Definitely want to get some of that Waxing to put next to NNFF by Veil

Unless they fundamentally change the recipe, it will be completely blown away by NNFF. The Waxing series has a low level of acidity and fruit character in comparison.

I don't think it will be a close comparison at all, but largely because of how much fruit there is in NNFF and how quickly the acidity seems to be tapering there as well. That said, I think Triple Crossing's fruited Berliners are better beers than Veil's single fruited Goses. I'm still solidly in the Veil camp for IPA/DIPAs though.

    agreed
the Waxing series are far more acidic than Veils Never series. I do agree that the fruit is more present in the Never stuff though.

Limits on Friday's (May 5th) release........I was expecting them lower based on their previous comments of not wanting to sell through cans so quickly

How would you guys compare Paranoid Aledroid to something like Master Shredder? Never had it but will most likely pick some up Friday.

Release is at the Foushee Street location - right?

Its similar but not quite as close to an IPA as Shredder is. Definitely a comparable beer though.

when did Paranoid Aledroid become hoppy? a friend and I were talking about this other day and for the first year+ PA was nowhere even close to hoppy, then suddenly BOOM

No. Fulton. Anything left after Fri should be split and available at both locations Saturday at open.

I know it's impossible to say for sure, but do you think there will be a long wait for cans right at noon on Friday? I'm passing through Richmond on my way to PA, but don't have a lot of time before I need to be back on the road. It's mostly a lunch stop, so if the wait sounds extreme we'll probably just stop at the Answer for lunch/crowlers and hit up TC on the way home next week when we have more free time.

If you get there right at open or even a little after I think you should be able to get in & out fairly quick. For the last release a couple weeks ago (Nectar & Knife / Far From Dawn) people posted about 20 or so in line just before open and they were out within 10 minutes or so. The people who show up at Noon will probably also those who are slipping out of work on their lunch break so quick trips for them. I would not expect this week's release to go nearly as quickly as the last one.

Are they doing crowlers of Nectar and Knife or Far From Dawn?

Unless they changed their stance since the blog post last week they are not. If you look on Untappd, since TBC is a Verified Venue, you can see which ones they are doing Crowlers of. The brewery is pretty diligent about keeping that up-to-date so I would have confidence in what that shows.

BTW....Crowlers would only be available for on demand fills from Foushee. I believe Fulton will do Growler fills though.

Was there this weekend and they were not doing crowlers or growlers of Nectar and Knife or Far From Dawn. They were available for a couple of the beers but don't remember which ones, just not those 2.

I have not seen any posts today from people in a few local groups I follow so chances are cans will last a while.

Showed up at 12:15 and walked right up to purchase cans, no wait.

Sipping on a Simcoe dry-hopped Paranoid now, which is tasty.

Around 50 cases of Green Dreams left as of 2:30. Not sure about Paranoid but I would say that has a good bit left.

I just left, a few people there but not a crowd. Both beers are tasting great.
