As much as I enjoy Nightshift Whirlpool APA which is 4.5 ABV. I really enjoy the higher ABV blends for taste and mouth feel like Santilli and The 87. To each there own that's what keep all these great breweries in business.

I'm with you, in general, as fullness and body need to be there in an IPA. But in the warmer months, the 7 percenters fall a bit heavy on me. On the other end of the spectrum, far too many so called "session" IPAs are too thin and watery for me. Whirlpool definitely fell in the watery category for me.

I thought Lawson's Super Session was pretty damn tasty though! You must have easy access to that one.

Well easy is usually a 12 pack every other week. But sometimes there are a few extras around I enjoy the brew a lot but I'd take Nightshift Whirlpool over it in a heartbeat. That's one of those if I had only one beer to drink things. I'd chose Whirlpool!

Super Session has been hanging around a lot, always have 12 packs where I shop, but they are pricey!

haha ironically I just made a blueberry pie, ha. As much as I loved them southern pies when I lived thereabouts, berry-based pies will forever be my delivery vehicle of choice for ice cream and flaky butter crusts

Hey Ya'll, cross posting this from my trade offer in the trade forum, as I know you guys are much easier to deal with than the damn newmonies. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help out!

I'm trying to acquire a bunch of clown shoes bottles both to drink and to keep for the amazing artwork. I am hoping to find someone who has a fair amount of these, and would like to go $4$ with MN/WI distro or locals (Surly, Toppling Goliath, New Glarus, Prairie, etc.). I can also provide a cellar list if that's more your flavor, but I'm not planning on unloading any big bottles for a few of this. Please message me if you're interested, I'm sure we can work something out.

Here's the list (In no particular order):
The Ballad of Minnie Quay (MI only)
    Pierre Ferrand Billionaire
    Garden State Rhapsody (NJ only)
    Crasher in the Rye (2015)
    Blimp
    Extremely Angry Beast
    Gargoyle Love Song (all years)
Hammer of the Holy (both 2015 bottles)
    Billionaire
    Ride the Lion
    Royal Standard
    Angry Beast
    Very Angry Beast
    Porcine Unidragon
    Breakfast Exorcism (MA only?)
    Exorcism at Sunset (MA only)
The Good, the Bad, and the Unidragion (TX only)
    Flight of the Angry Beast
    Fistful of Unidragon
    Peace that Money Can't Buy
    White Tail Unidragon (Ohio)
    Bluegrass Billionaire

Alright, I know this is a piss-ton of bottles, so this will certainly involve multiple trades. Please let me know if you have a few bottles and want a bit of a cellar list from me. I actually am trying to downsize a bit so I could throw a bunch of cellared 12oz stuff into the mix, as well as some good bottles. Thanks!

Uh, oh. Cue sound of @SammyJaxxxx's fork lift being fired up. @Josholson666, when gazing at the wreckage of your recently rebuilt porch, remember you brought this on yourself.

I agree that berry pies are among the best...but peach pie, that is true bliss.

Well, the Fedex site shows that there's a box on a truck for delivery in West Lebanon NH. Looks like they weren't telling lies about getting it delivered today.

My county, Whatcom County WA, produces something like 75% of the nation's raspberry crop. As it happens, raspberry pie is my very favorite. When I first came out here on vacation, I was out in the county, riding my bike. The air smelled like raspberries. Yes, it helped me decide to move here. Along with the lack of winters, and the beer.

I remember being in Portland in the summer and picking wild blackberries wherever we went hiking. There really should be more blackberry beers coming out of that city .

Yeah, they're a non-native, invasive plant. And they are every-freaking-where around here. Tasty bastards. When I'm hiking or biking, I fill my water bottle with, blackberry water is yummy.

I'm trying to grow my own raspberries and blueberries, but so far I've only been feeding the birds. If I get enough I'd love to make a mead with them some day.

For years my mom tried to establish people-feeding blueberries in her garden. We would try netting them, all sorts of stuff. The birds always managed to still get into them. We finally built basically a separate room in the garden with different fence/netting (also her puppy caught a couple and so we hung them on display to ward off their brethren). At this point the plants are freaking huge as well
