Good morning BAs! Next week we'll be traveling through your region and I'm looking for some good bottle shops and brewpubs/restaurants with a decent beer selection. My wife doesn't drink beer or wine so that limits my options, and neither of us are big on burgers. We start out in Harrisonburg, VA, Monday night, spend the next couple of days in the Charlotteville area while we visit Monticello and environs, then on to Richmond and Williamsburg, time spent depending on mood and interest. We intend to head south to Charleston, SC for a day or two, and on to Savannah, GA. From there, to Athens GA for Terrapin, Trapeze, and Five Points bottle shop, maybe over to Atlanta, and the north again. If possible, I may make it to Weeping Radish on my way south. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

I would think that The Wrecking Bar is a must visit in Atlanta. It's on the National Register of Historic Places.

Unless they've improved in recent years, I'd swing down the coast for the purpose of enjoying the Outer Banks rather than hitting Weeping Radish, but if it's on your route...

Also might be less trouble to hit Atlanta then Athens on way back north.

Certainly no shortage of Richmond, Charleston, or Savannah threads.

Yeah, I'd suggest going from Savannah to Atlanta, and then to Athens. That will keep you from riding all over the place from Athens back to Atlanta and then north again. You'll thank me later.
