Troegs Cultivator 2017?

St V was really good this year, but I'm only good for a couple St V's a season, to malty in the long run, but St B gets me in a lot of trouble. It just goes down to easy for 7.6 ABV.

 

Apparently not bottling this year again.

I totally agree. I'm more than a bit disappointed at not being able to buy a case of each of the Saints every year. Especially given how much I regularly enjoyed them both as a relief from the apparently constant bombardment of new IPA beers they've been putting out.

 

The reality is that Cultivator was #1 out of 4 in the Tröegs seasonal Hop Cycle. Helles Bock isn't a hoppy style, which is why First Cut (a Simcoe dominated IPA) is now the Spring Hop Cycle beer.

 

Pretty much that. While I do love IPAs, I also love a variety of styles. That said, it is called the Hop Cycle, so.... four seasonal IPAs isn't exactly crazy talk.

 

Is Trapp still doing the Trostenbier? Recently had Smoke and Dagger on nitro at the Liederkranz; made me wish for Comfort Beer.

 

Not sure if we are just making this "the Troegs thread" now, but 717 is on at the brewery.

 

How is it? Looking to get some this weekend.

 

Haven't had it. Just noticed on their website while foolishly thinking there would be some Scratch action, given that it is Thursday. They're taking some liberties with the phrase "(almost) every Thursday" in 2017.

Might run up this afternoon for a try. We'll see.

 

The 717 Collab = Bud Light Lime. Rugged Trail was decent though.

 

Just an update on the 717 Collab. Had another sample yesterday afternoon and the basil came through much more than the lime. I really enjoyed it this time around.
