I find their line-up to be solid. Their Scratch series, like previously mentioned, are interesting. Some hits, some misses but that's sort of what it's all about. Make a point to try Impending Descent if you can, it's a really awesome Russian Imperial Stout, something sorely missing from their widely available portfolio.

Oh, and don't forget about their Splinter series. Keep an ear open for the Gold release...

A Troegs tasting was my entry into the American craft beer world, so I may be biased, but I love just about everything from them. In addition to Perpetual, Nugget, Mad Elf, and Hopback as mentioned by others, I'm a big fan of Dreamweaver and the seasonal Dead Reckoning porter.

Scratch series are always a lot of fun... just try a bunch of the regular lineups, all of em... Dissapointed to hear that Mouflan wont be bottled anymore.

    always dug these regulars:

    Hopback Amber
    Nugget Nectar
    Dead Reckoning
    Troegenattor
    Pale Ale
    Perpetual

Troegenator goes without saying (amazing). DreamWeaver was surprisingly awesome.

Love the Mouflan, shame it won't be bottled this year. I'll have to look for a draft. The rest of their lineup is real solid. I love the Pale Ale out of all of their regular beers the best. Great pale ale.

Exactly, they don't have an extensive lineup, but the things they do make they do exceptionally well. Hands down ,y aconite brewery. (Although I'm a bit biased as well. Going to college in York, my buddy and I found ourselves at the brewery quite frequently)

I always liked their Oatmeal stout and Nut Brown Ale. I believe I saw something in their latest flyer that they may be bringing the Nut Brown back for limited release shortly. Nothing would please my wife more. Personally, I don't think they make a bad beer, my favorite in the state/area. I make a lot of homebrew (purchase 2-3 cases of commercial beer a year at this point), but this is the one brewery I will actually go out and purchase beer from.

Weird.. at my local Giant Food store, the spot for Flying Mouflan emptied out (i grabbed the last 2 bottles, dated last May). Then I go back a week later and that space is filled up again with more Mouflan, and the date appeared to be - smudge smudge something 13.

Anyway this '12 is drinking awesome.

So bummed that no bottles of Flying Mouflan this year...that stuff is incredible! Along with pretty much anything they make. Impending Descent should be an official limited yearly release. Throw it in some BARRELS too!!!

The Troegs brewery is also somewhat interesting, especially as an adult diversion if you're with the family at Hershey Park. Large eating and drinking area and "self-guided" tours, which from what I saw was a look at the bottling line and some tanks. A store as well where I bought some Perpetual which had just come off the bottling line 10 days earlier.

I was always a HUGE fan of their Oatmeal Stout. It used to be a seasonal that was available before Christmas time. I really, really wish they would bring that beer back!

    Cheers!

Everything Troegs makes is solid, although I consider Mad Elf to be kind of a gimmick beer for the holidays. Mad Elf is too sweet for me!!!

I had a good Troegs beer once. All of the others have been great.

Troegs is a truly great brewery. They hit a homerun with everything they do: Troegenator, Sunshine Pils, Dream Weaver Wheat, and Hopback Amber are all among my favorites.

I like Troegs but I think Impending Descent is a mess. I keep trying one every month or so and it isn't getting any better.

I dig their core year round lineup, though I wish they'd expand it by a few beers.

    Troegenator is a great doppelbock.
Hopback often seems to get overlooked, but I really like it. Flavorful, and very drinkable.
Perpetual is a very solid IPA, though nothing mind blowing.

Those are my favorites from their year round list.

Seasonals are good for the most part. Nugget Nectar is awesome. I really like Mad Elf too.

Their Scratch series is what I love the most. They always are putting out new beer in the series, and some of them have been really good. I wish they'd consider brewing a few of them on a regular basis.

Have to disagree with those of you dissing Mad Elf. There is nothing better (to drink!) on a frigid winter night when the roads are icy and Jack Frost is nipping at your nose. Just stay off that icy sidewalk afterwards!

Meanwhile, we just visited the new brewery Saturday, and it was all good. Had a few in the tasting room, then several samples at the end of the tour. Had to nap in the car for a while before we felt safe to drive on! The current beer coming out of the scratch kitchen is an altbier; talk about your champagne of beers--but you can only get it at the brewery!

I've had Mad Elf, Perpetual, Troegenator, Sunshine, Hopback, and Nugget Nectar. Loved them all! Sunshine was the latest one I tried, and I was seriously surprised at how tasty it was (session beers are usually very hit-or-miss with me). Def looking to make a trip to their brewery sometime soon.
